Abstract

Human behavior is the main goal of education, and the role of parents is crucial in motivating children's learning. To support their children, parents can provide attention, gifts, and rewards. This research aims to find out how parents can motivate their children's learning process, using a qualitative descriptive methodology with interviews and observations. The results show that parents have fulfilled their roles as teachers for their children, although sometimes not perfectly. They motivate their children with praise and guidance, and provide learning facilities such as books and writing tools. However, they also face challenges such as knowledge gaps, financial constraints, and children's traits that can hinder learning, such as laziness and lack of focus.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Pengaruh Displin Guru Terhadap Motivasi Belajar Siswa di madrasah ibtidaiyah nahdlatul ulama Balikpapan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan sampel sebanyak 40 siswa dari populasi 120 siswa aktif. Pengumpulan data melalui kuesioner dengan menggunakan skala Likert. Data yang telah diperoleh dari hasil penelitian diolah dengan menggunakan analisis regresi sederhana. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa tidak terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara disiplin guru (X) terhadap motivasi belajar siswa (Y). Hasil tersebut dapat diketahui melalui hasil uji t diperoleh nilai probabilitas sebesar (0,872). Nilai ini lebih besar dibandingkan 0,05, sehingga dapat disimpulkan tdak terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara disiplin guru dengan motivasi belajar . Berdasarkan hasil uji koefisien determinasi (R Square) diperoleh angka sebesar 0,125 atau 12,5%. Hal ini dapat diartikan bahwa 12,5% disiplin siswa tidak dipengaruhi oleh disiplin guru.
