Abstract

This study focuses on three things, namely interpersonal communication in the habituation of polite manners, obstacles to the application of interpersonal communication in the habituation of polite manners and efforts to overcome obstacles to the application of interpersonal communication in the habituation of polite manners. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. From the results of data analysis it was found that in interpersonal communication in the habituation of polite manners at the Mataram City Pasraman, the acarya acted as a communicator who became a role model for the brahmacari in the habituation of polite manners at the Pasraman, the habituation of polite manners was internalized with structured and in-depth communication by the acarya to the brahmacari in implementation of learning at the Pasraman and intensive supervision by the manager and acarya in the habit of being polite to brahmacari at the Pasraman. Obstacles in the application of interpersonal communication in the habituation of politeness at the Mataram City Pasraman, namely, the influence of the environment and colleagues which has an impact on the difficulty of habituating brahmacari polite behavior, the influence of massive information technology developments influencing the behavior of polite brahmacari; and differences in brahmacari's ability to receive and respond to information conveyed by acarya. Efforts to overcome obstacles/obstacles in implementing interpersonal communication in the habituation of good manners in Pasrman, namely by building good cooperation between Pasraman managers, acarya and brahmacari parents so that brahmacari are able to receive, respond and implement information from acarya and Pasraman managers related to values courtesy.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse and find out the contribution of Paraman in preserving arts and culture for Hindu generations in the era of educational disruption. This study was conducted with a phenomenological approach to Pasraman in Mataram City, while the data collection method used observation, documentation interviews and literature studies which were analysed using a descriptive qualitative approach. The findings of this study are that Pasraman in Mataram City has an important role in the preservation of arts and culture, the formation of the LP3 organisation in Mataram City is used as a medium of communication and interculture between pasraman, as a bridge of communication and coordination with related stake holders and as a driver of activities that are able to revive the pasraman behind the onslaught of the era of educational disruption after the Covid 19 outbreak. The form of pasraman's contribution in preserving arts and culture for the Hindu generation in this era of disruption in education is the internalisation of Hindu arts and culture-based learning which includes (1) Performing Arts (Dance Training, Drumming and Dharmagita); (2) Fine Arts (Upakara Learning); (3) Recording Media Arts (Video Content Creation Training) and (4) Literary Arts (Learning to Write and Read Balinese Script).

Abstract

Generasi digital native merupakan seseorang yang hidupnya terintegrasi dengan teknologi, generasi ini menghadapi kerentanan seperti paparan konten negatif, cyberbullying, hoaks, dan krisis identitas akibat kuatnya need for recognition di media sosial. Tantangan ini memerlukan fondasi etika yang kuat dan relevan untuk membangun karakter positif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi dan merekonstruksi konsep etika Hindu yang dapat dijadikan pedoman perilaku yang konkret untuk membangun karakter positif generasi digital native. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan study literatur. Data tekstual yang ditemukan kemudian dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis isi (content analysis) dan hermeneutika untuk menafsirkan makna, menemukan pola, tema, serta hubungan antar konsep. Adapun Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: terdapat tiga konsep etika Hindu yang sangat relevan bagi generasi digital native untuk membangun karakter positif yakni: (1) Satya (kebenaran), sebagai landasan integritas dan kejujuran dalam berkomunikasi dan menyebarkan informasi digital; (2) Tat Twam Asi (engkau adalah aku), yang menanamkan empati, penghormatan pada keberagaman, dan tanggung jawab sosial dengan menyadari kesatuan semua makhluk; serta (3) Tri Kaya Parisudha (penyucian pikiran, perkataan, perbuatan), yang berfungsi sebagai filter mental untuk menyucikan niat sebelum berinteraksi di dunia maya. Implementasi ketiga nilai etika Hindu ini diharapkan dapat membentuk karakter generasi digital native yang religius, jujur, toleran, bertanggung jawab, dan peduli sosial.
