Abstract

This research documents the implementation of guidance and counseling services at the Bekasi Jaya Special School (SLBN), Indonesia, in the context of inclusive education. Inclusive education provides equal opportunities for Children with Special Needs (ABK), in accordance with the Minister of National Education Regulation No. 70 year 2009. With method study qualitative, study This focus on the role of consultation, improvement, and communication in guidance and counseling services. Consultations serve as an urgent response to emerging problems, allowing for quick and tailored solutions to student needs. Improvements focused on infrastructure constraints to create an optimal learning environment. Intensive communication with parents is a key element to involve them in their children's education. This service reflects implementation principle democracy education, in where every child recognized have equal rights to quality education. The conclusions of this study support the theory of inclusive education which emphasizes response to the unique needs of each student. Guidance and counseling services at SLBN Bekasi Jaya are not only a response to problems, but also a proactive strategy for optimal learning success. This conclusion provides an in-depth understanding of the implementation of inclusive education at the special school level, with a focus on consultation, improvement and communication as integral elements.

Abstract

This Real Work Lecture (KKN) activity aims to improve the skills and independence of the nation's next generation at SMK Bina Industri. This activity is carried out by holding a seminar on successful strategies for entering the world of work. This seminar was attended by 50 students of SMK Bina Industri and 1 resource person from the Jatiwangi KKN team at Pelita Bangsa University using the observation method at the school. The evaluation results show that this seminar can improve students' knowledge and skills in entering the world of work. The research results show that synergy between study programs can increase skills and capacity for successful work strategies, so that it can increase entrepreneurial independence and sustainable development in villages. Therefore, this research recommends that study programs can increase synergy between study programs in developing villages towards entrepreneurial independence and sustainable development.

Abstract

The low understanding of Integrated Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) concepts among fourthgrade students at SDN Cijengkol 02, Bekasi Regency prompted this research. This study aimed to develop a valid, feasible, and effective picture storybook-based learning medium to improve students’ IPAS conceptual understanding. The research used the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model through analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. Expert validations in content, media, and language rated the product as highly feasible. Limited and field trials showed significant learning improvement, with N-Gain scores in the high category. Teacher and student responses indicated positive satisfaction with the media. The results confirm that the developed picture storybook is effective as an innovative learning medium to enhance the quality of IPAS learning processes and outcomes in elementary schools.
