In the field of Natural Sciences education, teachers need to consider psychological principles that encompass individual differences, students'development, cognitive, affective, and psychomotor development, as well as the learning process. The purpose of this study is to describe the psychological foundations of Science education in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (Islamic elementary school). This research employs a qualitative approach with a literature review design. The content analysis technique is used, involving an understanding of the content, message characteristics, and material development. The research findings indicate that psychological foundations play a vital role in education as they involve the human psyche dimension. There are two foundations that can be utilized, namely individual differences among students and the learning process. In Science education, teachers in elementary schools (SD/MI) need to be more creative in delivering the material through approaches, strategies, models, and media that align with students' development. Therefore, teachers also need to comprehend the psychological foundations of Science education. ABSTRAKDalam pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam (IPA), guru perlu memperhatikan prin-sip-prinsip psikologis yang meliputi perbedaan individual, perkembangan peserta di-dik, perkembangan kognitif, afektif, dan psikomotor, serta proses belajar. Tujuan pe-nelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan tentang landasan psikologis dalampembelajaran IPA di Madrasah Ibtidaiyah. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif desain studikepustakaan (literature review). Teknik analisis yang digunakan da-lam penelitian ini adalah analisis isi (content analysis), yang melibatkan pemahaman terhadap isi, karakteristik pesan, dan perkembangan suatu materi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa landasan psikologiss memiliki peran penting dalam pendidikan karena melibatkan dimensi kejiwaan manusia. Ada dua landasan yang dapat digu-nakan, yaitu perbedaan individual anak didik dan proses belajar. Dalam pembelajaran IPA, guru di SD/MI perlu lebih kreatif kreatif dalam menyampaikan materi dengan pendekatan, strategi, model, dan media yang sesuai dengan perkembangan peserta didik. Oleh karena itu, guru juga perlu memahami landasan psikologis dalampembe-lajaran IPA.
