Abstract

. Implementing a culture of safety or safe work in oil palm plantations is very difficult for the workforce, especially those with low education. The palm oil industry faces many risks, including heat exposure, heavy workloads, exposure to hazardous chemicals, fires, and accidents due to heavy equipment. OHS is still seen as a cost and not an investment to prevent work accidents in companies or industries. The purpose of this study was to summarize the journal and find important information about the implementation of OSH in palm oil mills. In writing this journal, a literature review approach was used. The journals used in this study came from journals accessed through Google Schoolar. The results showed that there are several factors that cause To conduct this research, the activities needed to identify risks in the work process, such as fire, fall risk, heat exposure, chemical exposure, and occupational accidents. Abstract

Mining is a job that has many dangerous risks starting from digging (mining), searching, using, processing and distributing the excavated products (coal, geothermal, gas, minerals and oil). The negative impact of landscape modification and land clearing activities influence on the economy, social structure of society and ecology. Starting from the impact of ecological decarbonation such as decreasing soil fertility, decreasing water quality, landscape changes, pollution and decreasing air quality. Meanwhile, the social effects of mining are small, namely conflicts between owners and communities, shifts in patterns. thought, and the decline in public health. The health impacts of mining include exposure to ISPA and poor skin conditions. This research was made with the aim of determining the factors causing the risk of occupational hazards in mining. Abstract

Kelelahan mata merupakan kelelahan pada mata yang dirasakan oleh pekerja kantoran, terutama mereka yang bekerja menggunakan komputer dengan durasi yang lama tanpa beristirahat. Adapun faktor yang mempengaruhi keluhan ini salah satunya adalah intensitas pencahayaan di ruang kerja. Tujuan dalam kajian ini adalah guna mengetahui hubungan intensitas pencahayaan terhadap kelelahan mata pada pegawai kantor di BPJS Ketenagakerjaan Kantor Wilayah Sumatera Utara. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan cross sectional dengan metode analisis kuantitatif yang melibatkan 35 responden yang bekerja menggunakan komputer. Data dikumpulkan melalui pengukuran kelelahan mata dengan penyebaran kuesioner VFI (Visual Fatigue Index) kelelahan mata dan alat lux meter sebagai pengukuran pencahayaan. Hasil pengukuran intensitas pencahayaan menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar ruangan kantor memiliki pencahayaan di bawah standar Permenaker No. 5 Tahun 2018, yaitu 300 lux. Tercatat intensitas pencahayaan yang tidak sesuai standar ada paling rendah dari 143 lux sampai 227,6 lux. Sementara itu, hasil pengisian kuesioner menunjukkan bahwa dari 35 responden, yang merasakan keluhan kelelahan mata berjumlah 31 responden dengan persentase 88,6%, dan sebanyak 4 pegawai dengan persentase 11,4% tidak mengalami kelelahan mata. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa adanya hubungan signifikan antara intensitas pencahayaan dengan keluhan kelelahan mata dengan P-value 0,029 (p<0,05) yang menunjukkan bahwa semakin rendah pencahayaan, semakin tinggi tingkat kelelahan mata. . Oleh sebab itu, diperlukan evaluasi dan perbaikan sistem pencahayaan di lingkungan kerja agar tercipta kenyamanan visual dan peningkatan produktivitas kerja pegawai.
