Abstract

The West Bandung OSIS Forum (FOBB) is a special forum or organization for West Bandung Regency OSIS administrators. FOBB can be a strategic and important forum in efforts to hone leadership, character, competence and literacy among West Bandung Regency students. The successful implementation of this FOBB is certainly not far from the leadership style of the FOBB currently in office. Therefore, the aim of this research is to identify and analyze the transformational leadership that occurs at the West Bandung OSIS Forum. The analysis carried out is based on the characteristics of transformational leaders which consist of ideal influence or charisma, Inspirational Motivation, Intellectual Stimulation and individual attention. The type of research carried out was qualitative research with the determination of informants using purposive sampling and data collection techniques using observation and interviews. The research results show that the leader of the West Bandung OSIS Forum has implemented transformational leadership, and meets every characteristic of a transformational leader, however the transformational leadership that has been implemented still needs to be maximized so that the forum and members can continue to develop. Abstract

Nowadays, people usually speak more than one language, especially college students. They often mix English vocabulary in their daily conversations. This phenomenon attracted the attention of researchers to investigate code mixing in daily conversations among students of Islamic Religious Education Study Program at IAID Martapura and the reasons for using code mixing. This study uses a descriptive qualitative research design with 15 Islamic Religious Education students as research subjects. The subjects were selected using the purposive sampling technique. Data were obtained through observation and interviews. The observation is intended to obtain data on the form of use of mixed codes. The data was then analyzed based on the mixed form of code proposed by Suwito (1983). Meanwhile, interviews are used to obtain data on the reasons for using code mixing. To analyze the data, researchers used an interactive model from Miles, Huberman and Saldana (2014). The results showed that code mixing at the dominant word level occurred which reached 14 words (66.7%). The main reason for using code mixing is because of the student environment.

Abstract

The study describes the ability of the second year students in English pronouns at MAN 4 Banjar. The problems of the research are: how is the ability of the second year students in English pronouns at MAN 4 Banjar Banjar and what factors influence the ability. The subjects of the research are 31 second year students at MAN 4 Banjar in academic year 2023 / 2024. While the object of the research are the ability of the second year students in English pronouns at MAN 4 Banjar and factors influence the ability. To collect data the writer applied test, questionnaire, observation, interview, and documentary. The data processing are editing, coding, calculating frequency and tabulating. To analyze the data, is used qualitative descriptive analysis and concluded by inductive method. The result of the research shows that the ability of the second year students in English pronouns at MAN 4 Banjar is averagely in fair category. While description of the influential factors can be identified as follows: students' interest, students' motivation and students' learning activity are quite high that should support students' ability in English pronouns. The English teacher does support students' ability and the teacher factor in this research is in high category. The facility factor is in high category as well. The factor influences the ability of the students in English pronouns.
