Abstract

Peneitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis struktur dan komposisi mangrove di Tapak Meras. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode systematic plot sampling, yang akan diletakkan pada tiga zona mangrove. Pembagain tiga zona dilakukan secara sederhana menurut posisi mangrove terhadap darat dan laut yakni zona belakang, tengah dan depan. Penentuan plot dibuat 3 jalur pengamatan,setiap transek terdiri dari 5 titik pengamatan, jarak antar transek 90 meter dan jarak antar titik 50 meter. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 9 spesies mangrove dari 4 famili yaitu Rhizophora apiculata, Rhizophora mucronata, Bruguiera gymnoriza (Famili Rhizophoraceae), Avicennia officinalis, Avicennia marina, Avicennia alba (Famili Avicenniaceae), Sonneratia alba, Sonneratia ovata (Famili Sonneratiaceae), dan Nypa fruticans (Famili Arecaceae). Struktur mangrove di Tapak Meras untuk tingkat semai didominasi oleh spesies Rhizophora apiculata (INP, 93.68%), tingkat pancang didominasi spesies Rhizophora apiculata (INP 69.40%), tingkat tiang didominasi spesies Rhizophora apiculata (INP, 93.72%), dan tingkat pohon didominasi spesies Sonneratia alba (INP 112.36%). Abstract

This study examined bird species diversity in various habitat types in Likupang SEZ, North Sulawesi. Using the point count method, this study found 69 bird species from 35 families and 3 bird species from 2 families found outside the location and observation hours. Five bird species with the highest Index of Importance (INP) were Aerodramus vanikorensis, Collocalia esculenta, Corvus celebensis, Geopelia striata, and Pycnonotus aurigaster. Secondary forest had the highest bird species diversity with a diversity index of 2.99, followed by open hills H' (2.86) and coastline H' (2.48). There are 44 bird species that have the potential for birdwaching ecotourism by considering the attractiveness of morphological uniqueness (feather and beak color), sound, migratory birds, endemic and protected status.
