In the realm of management focusing on people’s needs and growth also known as leadership plays a role, in enhancing both employees well-being and the overall success of a company in the long run. It involves giving priority to employees well-being and development while fostering a work environment based on trust, respect and empowerment. By adopting this approach employee performance and dedication to the organization are enhanced. A qualitative study was conducted involving HRD managers from five companies to explore the implementation of people-oriented management strategies. The results indicated that emphasizing trust, respect and empowerment within organizations through communication and engagement initiatives can create a work environment that promotes a healthy work life balance ultimately boosting employee productivity and performance. Furthermore, this approach contributes to improving employee well-being and loyalty to the organization. Therefore, embracing people centered management practices can lead to outcomes. Keywords: People-oriented management, employee well-being, employee performance, commitment, organizational outcomes.

Abstract

Abstract:The prototype characteristics of "Zhai" have been clearly defined, including the purification of the body and mind, the expression of piety, and specific rituals. Based on these prototype characteristics, "Zhai" has formed a complex semantic category system composed of typical and marginal category members. The typical category members closely revolve around sacrificial and religious rituals, fully demonstrating the prototype characteristics of "Zhai". The marginal category members are semantic extensions based on the prototype characteristics during semantic evolution, covering multiple fields such as venue architecture, diet, professional titles, and aliases. The construction of this semantic category system provides a clear framework for us to understand the semantic changes of "Zhai" in different contexts. Therefore, we integrate the research results of "Zhai" into the application of international Chinese education. In cultural teaching, practical activities such as offering special courses, holding simulated sacrificial and fasting activities, preparing vegetarian dishes, and carrying out cross-cultural comparisons can be carried out. In terms of vocabulary teaching, based on the prototype category theory, through targeted reading and writing training, the semantic relationships of words can be analyzed, and a vocabulary network can be constructed. Keywords:International Chinese Language Education, Zhai (ritual purification), Prototype Theory, historical evolution

Abstract

Abstract With the rise of the global “Chinese fever”, tone instruction has become increasingly important in International Chinese Language Education but remains a major challenge due to its complexity. Learners from different regions and linguistic backgrounds exhibit systematic errors in tone acquisition, particularly beginner Indonesian learners. This study, based on Interlanguage Theory, Contrastive Analysis Theory and Experimental Phonetics, focuses on the acquisition of monosyllabic Chinese tones by Indonesian beginners. A total of 84 learners were divided into two groups (A and B), receiving instruction through the Five-Degree and Three-Degree Teaching Methods. Using perceptual discrimination and acoustic analysis, data were analyzed with Praat software to compare the effectiveness of both methods. Results show that while the Three-Degree Teaching Method is more effective, overall mastery remains suboptimal. T4 (falling tone, 去声调) is the easiest, while T2 (rising tone, 阳平调) is the most challenging. Based on these findings, the study analyzes error sources and proposes strategies: optimizing the teaching sequence (T4 → T3 → half-T3 → T1 → T2), strengthening tone awareness, emphasizing systematic mastery, and integrating AI-assisted instruction. These findings provide practical insights for improving Chinese tone instruction for Indonesian learners.

Abstract

This study explores the demand for "Chinese + Vocational" talents in Indonesia and the pathways for their cultivation. Using a mixed-methods approach that combines surveys and interviews, the findings reveal a significant need for such talents, particularly in trade, tourism, and artificial intelligence industries. Grounded in Gardner's social-educational model and Dornyei's second-language motivation self-system, the study highlights the critical role of learner motivation. Notably, 61.9% of respondents cited career advancement as their primary reason for learning Chinese, emphasizing the strong link between language acquisition and professional aspirations. Despite this demand, the current "Chinese + Vocational" curriculum faces significant challenges, including rigid structures, a shortage of qualified instructors, and limited teaching resources. Moreover, 79.7% of Indonesian learners have only intermediate or lower Chinese proficiency, limiting their ability to use the language in professional settings. To effectively address these challenges, this study recommends aligning curricula with market needs, strengthening faculty development, integrating diverse teaching resources, and enhancing school-enterprise collaborations. These findings offer valuable insights into implementing "Chinese + Vocational" education in Indonesia and have broader implications for international Chinese language education. The study underscores the importance of continuous adaptation, strategic refinement in talent cultivation, and global academic collaboration.
