Abstract

The Profile of Pancasila Students in Permendikbud Number 22 of 2020 concerning the Ministry of Education and Culture Strategic Plan for 2020-2024 needs to be supported. The nation's culture has been written down from generation to generation and classically in local folklore, which contains good character values ​​under Pancasila. Various Indonesian local folklore is taught in secondary schools. Local Indonesian folklore should be put forward because it contains the dimensions of the Pancasila Student Profile. In addition, education adapts to technological developments. This study aimed to determine the feasibility of the android Pancasila Student Profile with local folklore in learning and to determine the literacy skills and dimensions of the Pancasila Student Profile owned by secondary school students in the emancipated era. It involves researchers from two different fields. This research supports the transformation of higher education. The research method is R&D inspired by the Joy and Bolitho model to produce products on a not-too-large scale. The flow chart uses the Tesmer design, including the preliminary stages, expert validation, and field/formative tests. This research produced an application product for Pancasila student profiles as a form of literacy education instilled through folklore. These findings and discussions are important because they are positive things for increasing student’s literacy.

Abstract

SMK Yayasan Pharmasi Semarang sebagai sekolah yang memiliki tiga kompetensi keahlian, yaitu Farmasi, Perhotelan, dan Bisnis Daring dan Pemasaran telah memiliki media penyampai informasi berupa situs web, yaitu https://smkyaphar.sch.id/. Dalam situs tersebut, berbagai informasi telah disampaikan seperti visi-misi, jurusan, prestasi, fasilitas, karier, pengumuman, berita, dan tulisan guru. Namun, berdasarkan pengamatan tim pengabdian kepada masyarakat, masih ada yang perlu dikembangkan lagi, terutama penulisan berita dan opini. Dalam penulisannya, judul-judul berita masih perlu diperbaiki. Selain itu, pembuatan beberapa tubuh beritanya masih menonjolkan gambar daripada tulisan. Kolom guru yang berfungsi sebagai media bagi para guru untuk mennyampaikan ide dalam bentuk tulisan belum maksimal. Para guru sepertinya belum termotivasi untuk menulis. Sebanyak 70 guru di SMK Yayasan Pharmasi Semarang, hanya 2 guru yang tulisannya dimuat di situs web tersebut. Pengetahuan dan keterampilan para guru dalam menulis opini masih harus ditingkatkan. Guru sebagai akademisi seharusnya mampu menyampaikan ide-ide melalui tulisan. Selama ini, pengetahuan para guru tentu tidak diragukan lagi dalam mengajarkan ilmu mereka, tetapi keterampilan untuk menuangkan ilmunya dalam sebuah tulisan masih perlu diasah.Melalui metode pelatihan: diskusi, tanya jawab, dan praktik menulis dengan bimbingan tiga instruktur yang memiliki satu bidang ilmu kepakaran, yaitu Bahasa Indonesia, para guru sekarang sudah mulai dapat menulis berita dan opini. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan hasil yang didapat yakni penambahan jumlah berita di situs tersebut dengan judul yang bervariasi dan lebih menarik. Selain itu pada kolom opini, tampak tulisannya mulai bertambah.Luaran yang dicapai dari kegiatan ini berupa berita yang disampaikan di media massa dan dihasilkannya buku ajar penulisan teks berbasis web khususnya opini dan berita. Selain luaran itu, peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan para guru juga sudah terlihat dari hasil kuesioner yang diolah dengan skala Guttman. Sebelum pelatihan, nilai rata-ratanya 41,18 sedangkan setelah pelatihan menjadi 81,76.

Abstract

This research seek to understand how the radio industry operates in the era of media convergence, particularly in relation to media commodification. Here, the researcher will specifically describe the behavior of media workers in using pseudonyms in radio broadcasts. The research object is located at Radio Pop FM Semarang, Central Java. This research uses media economics theory with a political economy perspective. Additionally, the researcher will also analyze from the perspective of commodification, where one of the indicators is to obtain profit. This research will examine how media commodification practices at Radio POP FM are related to pseudonym sales strategies. This research uses a critical paradigm with a qualitative approach. The result of this research is that the use of pseudonyms or fake names in broadcasting media constitutes the commodification of names within the media itself.

Abstract

The era of change is marked by the development of the internet and smart phones which have changed all aspects of human life, from the way of interaction, daily activities, the economy and even the world of politics which has resulted in the mixing of real and hoax news. One of the goals of Islamic education is to form civilized human beings, including civilized people in social media. This research includes research based on literature review by taking references from books, journals and other sources. The purpose of the study is to describe how Islamic education in shaping civilized people provides guidance and guidance in responding to hoax news including social media. Data collection with documentation techniques and analyzed with content analysis approach. The results of the study show that Islam as a religion that always follows the times, can be said to provide clear guidelines for responding to hoax news on social media. It is hoped that these results can be a reference for anyone, especially Muslims

Abstract

Instagram utilization is able to meet followers’ information needs, provide both social and commercial benefits for users, and serve as a medium to attract public interest in better understanding the user or content provider. In the field of education, Instagram can also be used for various purposes such as learning media and promotional tools. SMK Walisongo Semarang, the partner in this community service program, already manages two Instagram accounts: @smkwalisongoofficial and @osis_skawas. The @smkwalisongoofficial account is managed by teachers and staff, while @osis_skawas is managed by student council (OSIS) members. The focus of this program is the @osis_skawas account, which was created in 2023 and currently has 93 posts and 170 followers. Unfortunately, within approximately two years, the account has only published that number of posts, consisting of 81 photos with captions and 12 reels. According to one of the community service team members, the account’s content has remained limited and monotonous since last year, indicating low activity and lack of development from the administrators. Based on interviews with the Vice Principal of Student Affairs, the administrators faced challenges in content creation, both technically and in terms of ideas. Through lecture, discussion, and hands-on practice methods, this training had a positive impact on the students of SMK Walisongo Semarang. Knowledge and skills related to the types of content, ways to create and edit, motivation enhancement, and effective content creation strategies were provided to the target audience, enabling them to understand how to increase engagement in each post. In addition, the use of CapCut in video production was also discussed, equipping them with sufficient skills to edit videos and develop the @osis_skawas account.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of principles and ethics in social media management based on PERMENPANRB No. 83 of 2012 on the Instagram accounts of Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD) in the Semarang City Government. It also evaluates content strategies to enhance public engagement and build trust. This qualitative study observed 32 official Instagram accounts of OPD, utilizing content analysis, interviews, and engagement rate (ER) measurements with HypeAuditor tools. The results show that most OPD accounts have low ER, although some accounts achieved better performance through interactive and relevant content. Key challenges include limited human resources, lack of training for social media administrators, and a dominance of routine activity reporting without participatory communication strategies. Additionally, overlapping roles between content administrators and Public Information and Documentation Officers (PPID), coupled with a paternalistic leadership style within OPD, further contribute to the low level of public engagement. This study recommends optimizing social media management strategies through capacity building for account administrators, implementing two-way communication approaches based on data analytics, and establishing digital communication policies that promote flexibility and innovation. These strategies can enable government social media to function more effectively as a platform for transparency, interaction, and collaboration with the public, while sustainably building public trust.

Abstract

Bagi calon mahasiswa yang ingin masuk ke perguruan tinggi negeri, istilah SNMPTN, SBMPTN, dan Jalur Mandiri tentu sudah harus dipahami dengan baik. SNMPTN, SBMPTN dan jalur mandiri merupakan jalan bagi calon mahasiswa untuk bisa masuk perguruan tinggi negeri favorit mereka. Namun, kemungkinan untuk diterima dapat dikatakan tidak mudah. Berdasarkan wawancara tim abdimas dari USM kepada beberapa siswa di SMK Yayasan Pharmasi Semarang, banyak siswa yang tertarik untuk masuk perguruan tinggi negeri. Namun, mereka banyak yang belum tahu jenis tes yang harus dilalui. Tim abdimas mencoba menunjukkan jenis tes Bahasa Indonesia, mereka menyatakan bahwa tes tersebut termasuk dalam kategori sulit. Butuh fokus berlatih agar bisa mengerjakan soal-soal tersebut. Ketidaktahuan siswa-siswi SMK Yayasan Pharmasi ini sebetulnya menunjukkan kekurangsiapan mereka dalam menghadapi ujian masuk perguruan tinggi. Butuh pelatihan/ pendampingan untuk menghadapi tes masuk perguruan tinggi khususnya tes Bahasa Indonesia mengingat aka nada perubahan besar dalam tes Bahasa Indonesia di tahun 2023. Melalui metode pelatihan: ceramah, tanya jawab, dan praktik mengerjakan soal Bahasa Indonesia, para siswa sekarang sudah mulai memahami prosedur masuk PTN dan terampil mengerjakan jenis soal Bahasa Indonesia yang akan diujikan di SBMPTN 2023 nanti. Luaran yang dicapai dari kegiatan ini berupa berita yang disampaikan di media massa dan dihasilkannya buku ajar Bahasa Indonesia untuk masuk PTN. Selain luaran itu, peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan para siswa juga sudah terlihat dari hasil kuesioner yang diolah dengan skala Likert.Kata kunci: Soal Bahasa Indonesia, Pelatihan, PTN

Abstract

Kemampuan Bahasa Inggris terutama TOEFL untuk santri pondok pesantren sangat dibutuhkan terutama agar santri pondok pesantren bisa menghadapi tantangan dunia global, mengingat pondok pesantren masih dianggap institusi yang hanya mengajarkan ilmu agama saja kepada para santrinya. Untuk menjawab kebutuhan jaman dimana segala hal saat ini menggunakan bahasa pengantar bahasa Inggris, untuk mewujudkan hal tersebut maka dibutuhkan sumber dayamanusia yang paham bahasa Inggris yang pada kenyataannya masih belum bisa terwujud. Hal ini karena salah satunya adalah kurangnya pengetahuan dan penguasaan Bahasa Inggris terutama TOEFL. Dari program Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat terdahulu yang dilakukan dosen FTIK Universitas Semarang telah diadakan pelatihan mengenai Speaking maka tim Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat FTIK Universitas Semarang kali ini mengadakan kegiatan dengan metode praktikum mengenai pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris terutama TOEFL berbasis web.
