Abstract

National Policy on Education reiterated the integration of India’s culture and heritage with scientific thinking and scientific discoveries. Imparting formal education has enormously changed over the years in India with integration of science education in the curriculum and emergence of the idea of digitalization of education. Scientific progress brings about amelioration of individual and social development. For scientific progress to occur, not only the science research centres should be expanded and developed but fundamentally the schools, colleges and universities imparting science education must be strengthened in quality. This article discusses in retrospect, about the referring to the recommendations of various committees and commissions of pre and post independence period, in attempt to provide a comprehensive picture of development of a holistic education system in India .

Educational analytics, powered by AI, is explored as a pivotal tool for extracting meaningful insights from vast datasets,informing evidence-based decision-making for educators and administrators.The review highlights notable case studies and successful implementations of AI in educational settingsacross various levels, from primary education to higher education and professional development. These case studies offer insights into the practical applications of AI, showcasing its effectiveness in optimizing teaching and learning outcomes.

Abstract

Climate change poses significant challenges to global sustainability, making climate literacy an essential component of contemporary education. Yet, teacher education programs often lack structured approaches to prepare pre-service teachers for integrating climate-related content into their future classrooms. This paper presents a comprehensive framework for embedding climate literacy into teacher education, aiming to equip future educators with the knowledge, skills, and values needed for effective climate and sustainability instruction. The study outlines the current deficiencies in teacher preparation, defines the scope of climate literacy within the educational context, and offers interdisciplinary, actionable strategies for curriculum developers and teacher educators. By aligning teacher education with international sustainability goals, this framework supports the cultivation of environmentally responsible citizens and climate-resilient education systems.
