Abstract

Applications of artificial intelligence, such as Chat-GPT and Bard, have become common in various aspects of life today. One of the main aspects is the use of the Question Answering (QA) model to meet specific domain needs. However, in some cases, models like Bard may not be able to provide specific information, such as registration procedures at a particular company or lecturer schedules at a university. To overcome this challenge, an Indonesian QA model called IndoBERT-QA has been developed. This research aims to evaluate the capabilities of IndoBERT-QA in a specific domain context using the Mean Reciprocal Rank (MRR) evaluation method. The evaluation results show that the IndoBERT-QA model is able to achieve an MRR of 0.91 with an approach to creating a customized context for each question. These results indicate that this model has good performance in providing relevant answers. The benefit of this research is that it serves as a valuable reference for the development of QA systems that will be created by other parties in the same environment. By utilizing a well-tested and evaluated approach, this research provides a strong foundation for the development of a high-performance QA system in Indonesian, so that it can meet domain-specific needs. Besides that, this research also provides insights for further development. One approach that can be explored is the use of Information Retrieval or Passage Retrieval as an initial step in the QA process. This can help the model in getting more precise and relevant context, thereby allowing further improvement in the quality of the answers provided by the model. Abstract

This research develops a passage retrieval model for a Question Answering (QA) application in the Indonesian language, focusing on a specific domain. The model leverages BERT embedding techniques and the Faiss index to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of finding answers to user queries, with a particular focus on a text corpus related to Universitas Perjuangan Tasikmalaya. The evaluation was conducted on 80 questions, encompassing various informational aspects within the corpus. Results indicate an average execution time of 0.23 seconds per question and a total processing time of 18.8 seconds for all queries, achieving an accuracy rate of 43.75%. Accuracy was generally higher when the questions contained terms that exactly matched those in the corpus. While the initial findings are promising, the accuracy remains suboptimal and warrants further improvement. Potential areas for optimization include employing alternative embedding techniques, refining passage formation methods, and enhancing search performance using a cross-encoder. This research contributes to accelerating the retrieval process and improving the relevance of results for QA applications within specific domains.

Abstract

This research employs the Apriori algorithm to examine gold sales data at EOA Gold Bandung, with the objective of identifying association patterns in sales transactions that can enhance marketing strategies and optimise inventory management. The dataset employed comprises sales transactions from July 2023 to July 2024, encompassing purchase date, customer information, invoice number, and the type of gold purchased, with a weight ranging from 0.025 grams to 10 grams. The application of the Apriori algorithm with a minimum support value of 10% and a minimum confidence of 30% revealed a significant purchase pattern: namely, that 1-gram and 2-gram gold bars are often purchased together in a single transaction. The findings provide valuable insights for EOA Gold Bandung in designing a product bundling offering strategy, which can improve customer satisfaction, increase sales volume and enhance stock management efficiency. It is anticipated that the results of this analysis will contribute to the optimisation of data-driven business strategies in the gold sales sector.

Abstract

Pengelolaan data yang efektif merupakan salah satu faktor penting untuk meningkatkan daya saing Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM). Namun, banyak UMKM yang masih kesulitan dalam mengelola dan menganalisis data pelanggan mereka. Workshop ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pelatihan mengenai penggunaan Google Sheets/Excel dan Looker Studio dalam mengelola data pelanggan, serta menyajikannya dalam bentuk visualisasi yang mendukung pengambilan keputusan strategis. Mitra pengabdian dalam kegiatan ini adalah UMKM yang bergerak di sektor ritel dan makanan. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian ini adalah pelatihan daring dengan sesi teori pada hari pertama dan praktek pada hari kedua. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman dan keterampilan peserta dalam menggunakan Google Sheets dan Looker Studio. Sebelum workshop, hanya 50% peserta yang mampu mengelola dan menganalisis data pelanggan secara efektif, sedangkan setelah workshop, 95% peserta dapat menerapkan teknik tersebut dalam operasional bisnis mereka. Kegiatan ini juga mencatat tantangan terkait infrastruktur teknologi yang perlu diperhatikan lebih lanjut. Hasil pengabdian ini penting untuk membantu UMKM dalam mengoptimalkan pengelolaan data dan membuat keputusan bisnis yang lebih tepat guna, sehingga meningkatkan daya saing mereka di pasar yang semakin kompetitif.

Abstract

Pendidikan anak usia dini memerlukan pendekatan pembelajaran yang menarik dan interaktif untuk mengoptimalkan perkembangan kognitif dan sosial anak. Namun, metode konvensional seringkali kurang efektif dalam memotivasi anak, sehingga diperlukan solusi alternatif seperti game edukasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan game edukasi "Grow Smart" dengan pendekatan MDA Framework (Mechanics, Dynamics, Aesthetics) untuk meningkatkan minat belajar anak usia dini di RA Persis 111 Bojongkunci. Metode penelitian melibatkan observasi dan kuesioner yang diisi oleh guru sebagai observer, dengan partisipasi 20 anak. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa semua indikator memperoleh skor rata-rata di atas 4 (skala Likert 1-5), dengan persentase 80-93% dalam kategori "Sangat Baik". Evaluasi guru terhadap media game juga memberikan respons positif dengan rata-rata skor 4,12 (82,5%). Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa "Grow Smart" efektif sebagai media pembelajaran yang menarik, menyenangkan, dan memudahkan proses belajar. Implikasi penelitian ini adalah potensi pengembangan game edukasi lebih lanjut dengan penambahan konten dan fitur untuk mendukung pembelajaran anak usia dini secara lebih komprehensif.

Abstract

Pendidikan kejuruan di Indonesia menghadapi tantangan dalam menarik minat calon siswa terhadap jurusan teknis seperti Teknik Kendaraan Ringan (TKR), terutama karena minimnya media pengenalan yang interaktif dan efektif. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan game “MengBengkel” berbasis MDA Framework (Mechanics, Dynamis, Aestetics) sebagai sarana pengenalan maintenance kendaraan ringan, khususnya sistem kelistrikan dan permesinan, agar siswa dapat memperoleh gambaran pembelajaran dan meningkatkan minat terhadap jurusan TKR. Metode pengembangan meliputi analisis kebutuhan pengguna, perancangan sistem implementasi, dan evaluasi melalui User Acceptance Testing (UAT) dengan instrumen kuesioner Skala Likert pada Siswa kelas X TKR. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa penerapan MDA Framework mampu menghasilkan gameplay yang mudah dipahami, menantang, dan menyenangkan, dengan visual serta audio yang menarik, serta meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap prosedur perawatan kendaraan ringan. Responden memberikan penilaian kategori “Sangat Baik” pada aspek Mechanics, Dynamics, dan Aesthetics, yang mencerminkan keberhasilan game dalam menyampaikan materi dan membangun motivasi belajar. Dengan demikian, game “MengBengkel” layak digunakan sebagai media promosi dan pembelajaran interaktif di SMK Tamansiswa Rancaekek, serta dapat dikembangkan lebih lanjut untuk platfrom dan materi yang lebih luas
