Abstract

The Nun is technically a prequel to the ever-expanding Conjuring Universe. This film tells the story of the origins of VALAK, the super scary demon nun from The Conjuring 2. Synopsis The Nun is set in 1952, at the Carta Monastery in Romania which is known to be haunted and cursed by local residents. This film tells the story of the investigation carried out by Father Burke, Sister Irene and Frenchie into the suicide of one of the nuns in the convent. In their investigation they find out that something is wrong with the place and they have to solve the puzzles one by one. In film this involves the collection and analysis of non-numerical data, such as text, images, or audio recordings. Researchers can use this method to explore the researcher's experience of watching the film, our perceptions of the characters and themes, and the impact of the film on moral beliefs and values. Unlike in the film The NUN, Valak in Christian demonology is actually a demon in the form of a small angel who rides a two-headed dragon, and is considered the commander of 38 legions of evil spirits. Some life lessons that can be taken from this film are obeying God, obeying his commands and staying away from his prohibitions.

Abstract

The rapid digital transformation has had a significant impact on various aspects of life, while simultaneously increasing the complexity of cyber threats faced by nations, including Indonesia. As a country with a high number of internet users, Indonesia is in a vulnerable position regarding cyberattacks that could threaten national stability. This study aims to analyze Indonesia’s national security strategy in responding to cyber threats through a descriptive qualitative approach based on literature review and document analysis. The findings show that Indonesia has implemented various strategic policies, including the establishment of the National Cyber and Crypto Agency (BSSN), the enactment of regulations such as the Personal Data Protection Law, as well as the strengthening of international cooperation, human resource development, and the utilization of security technologies. However, significant challenges such as weak inter-agency coordination, low digital literacy, and limited infrastructure remain major obstacles to effective implementation. This study recommends strengthening governance, increasing institutional capacity, and involving multiple stakeholders to build a national cybersecurity system that is adaptive, inclusive, and sustainable.

Abstract

Background: Effective blood pressure control during surgery is crucial, especially for patients with hypertension, as blood pressure variability (BPV) and intraoperative hypertension (IOH) increase the risk of postoperative complications such as acute kidney injury (AKI). Midazolam is widely used for sedation, induction, and co-induction of anesthesia, but its effects on intraoperative hemodynamic stability particularly BPV and IOH in hypertensive patients are not fully understood. Objective: This scoping review summarizes current evidence on the effects of intraoperative midazolam infusion on BPV and IOH in hypertensive patients and identifies existing research gaps .Methods: A scoping review was conducted following PRISMA-ScR guidelines. Literature searches were performed in PubMed, Google Scholar, and ClinicalTrials for studies published between 2021 and 2025 with RCT, quasi-experimental, cohort, or observational designs reporting intraoperative hemodynamic parameters. Study quality was assessed using the MMAT 2018. Results: Ten studies met the inclusion criteria. Midazolam caused a milder blood pressure decrease than propofol but provided less hemodynamic stability than etomidate. Other agents, such as remimazolam and dexmedetomidine, often demonstrated superior hemodynamic profiles. Although midazolam can reduce stress responses and early blood pressure fluctuations, most studies did not evaluate BPV using comprehensive statistical methods. BPV and IOH were consistently associated with higher postoperative risks, particularly AKI in hypertensive patients. Conclusion: Intraoperative midazolam infusion may help maintain hemodynamic stability, but evidence regarding its effectiveness in reducing BPV and preventing IOH remains limited. Further randomized controlled trials are needed to directly assess the impact of midazolam infusion on BPV in hypertensive patients and compare it with other sedative agents.
