<![CDATA[AbstrakGlobalisasi adalah proses transfer pengetahuan dan teknologi dari satu negara ke negara lain di seluruh dunia. Pengaruh globalisasi dapat menciptakan struktur sosial baru dalam masyarakat. Perubahan di berbagai bidang kehidupan menuntut seseorang untuk menerima informasi yang akurat dan terkini. Model sosial yang ada bergerak ke arah digitalisasi, masyarakat dapat menggunakan perangkat digital untuk mendapatkan informasi tentang segala macam peristiwa dan perubahan di seluruh dunia. Generasi Z adalah mereka yang telah terpapar teknologi yang ada seperti penggunaan ponsel pintar, jam tangan pintar, dan komputer sejak awal. Dalam kehidupan, kemampuan Gen Z untuk menerima informasi melalui media sosial memang lebih cepat. Pengaruh globalisasi juga telah mengubah pandangan generasi muda dalam memilih pekerjaan. Akibatnya, pekerjaan konvensional seperti petani dan nelayan menunjukkan angka negatif sebagai pilihan profesi para remaja. Motode penelitian yang digunakan adalah menggunakan pendekatan deskpriptif kualitatif. Kesimpulan yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini adalah 42,4% responden setuju bahwa adanya media informasi digital menyebabkan profesi petani menjadi tidak diminati di kalangan remaja. Empat puluh delapan persen responden menyatakan tidak mau berprofesi sebagai petani. Alasan-alasan Gen Z tidak memilih profesi petani adalah rendahnya pendapatan petani, profesi yang petani masih dipandang sebelah mata oleh sebagian masyarakat, sehingga memanggap profesi petani terkesan kumuh tidak sekeren profesi lainnya, serta tida didukung oleh keluarga.Kata Kunci: digitalisasi, Gen Z, persepsi, profesi petani AbstractGlobalization is the process of transferring knowledge and technology from one country to another throughout the world. The influence of globalization can create new social structures in society. Changes in various areas of life require a person to receive accurate and up-to-date information. The existing social model is moving towards digitalization, people can use digital devices to get information about all kinds of events and changes around the world. Generation Z are those who have been exposed to existing technology such as the use of smartphones, smartwatches, and computers from the beginning. In life, Gen Z's ability to receive information via social media is indeed faster. The influence of globalization has also changed the views of the younger generation in choosing work. As a result, conventional jobs such as farmers and fishermen show negative numbers as profession choices for teenagers. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive approach. The conclusion obtained from this research was that 42.4% of respondents agreed that the existence of digital information media had caused the farming profession to become unpopular among teenagers. Fourthy eight point five percent of respondents do not want to work as farmers.
