Abstract

Obesity in children and adolescents is a global health problem, with increasing prevalence in low- and middle-income countries and consistently high obesity rates in high-income countries. Obesity, characterized by excessive lipid accumulation, is primarily caused by an energy imbalance resulting from high caloric intake and inadequate expenditure. This activity uses the PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) methodology, involving 167 participants for obesity screening. The results of measuring Body Mass Index and waist circumference showed that 14 (8.39%) people were obese level II, 22 (13.18%) people were obese level I, 13 (7.79%) people were overweight, and 53 ( 31.74%) people have a risk of central obesity. Early detection through routine anthropometric assessments allows timely intervention, including lifestyle modifications to prevent obesity and related comorbidities, thereby improving overall health outcomes.

Abstract

Acne vulgaris, commonly known as acne, is a dermatological condition that is common among adolescents, affecting approximately 95% of this population. This multifactorial disease consists of genetic, hormonal, microbial, and environmental factors. The main harmful processes are more sebum production, hyperkeratinization, and colonisation with Propionibacterium acnes, which makes porphyrins that make the skin swell. This activity uses the PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Action) methodology, which involves the facial skin analysis of 170 participants. According to the examination results, the average porphyrin content on the participants' facial skin was 63%. Early detection through comprehensive skin assessment and educational interventions is critical to preventing chronic and recurrent episodes, thereby improving physical and psychological well-being.

Abstract

Kesehatan kulit wajah adalah bagian penting dari kualitas hidup, terutama pada usia dewasa ketika faktor internal seperti perubahan hormonal, penurunan kolagen, dan genetik, serta faktor eksternal seperti paparan sinar ultraviolet, polusi, dan gaya hidup, mulai mempengaruhi kondisi kulit. Kegiatan ini melibatkan edukasi dan skrining menggunakan teknologi face analyzer untuk memantau pigmentasi, pori-pori, kelembapan, dan kekasaran kulit pada 40 individu usia produktif. Pendekatan Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) diterapkan untuk memastikan efektivitas edukasi dan skrining. Rata-rata usia peserta adalah 43,97 tahun dengan standar deviasi 11,79, dan komposisi gender seimbang. Pemeriksaan face analyzer menunjukkan parameter kesehatan kulit yang memberikan informasi awal terkait kondisi kulit peserta. Edukasi dan skrining rutin menggunakan face analyzer efektif dalam meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat akan pentingnya pemantauan kondisi kulit wajah secara berkala untuk mencegah masalah kulit jangka panjang.
