Abstract

This study aims to develop a design for the triple jump to obtain empirical data about the effectiveness of the triple jump-based circuit training model for beginner athletes. The research method used in this study is the research and development method of Borg and Gall which consists of ten steps. The subjects of this study were male and female athletes in Klungkung regency specifically for triple jump numbers. This research resulted in 10 final training models that have gone through expert evaluations, trials, and revisions. In testing the effectiveness of the training model by using "test-t". The data of this research are in the form of the pretest and posttest of the experimental and control groups. Triple jump based on circuit training with a significance level of 0.05. The results of the average pretest mean = 59.05 are smaller than the average posttest mean = 73.40 in the count an increase of 14.36. The results of the effectiveness of the triple jump training model based on circuit training between pretest and posttest obtained results t0 = 11,145 greater than tt = 0,000, the hypothesis was rejected. Research conclusion that the triple jump based on the circuit training model for beginner athletes is effectively used to improve the triple jump results for beginner athletes.

Abstract

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the effect of the Numbered Heads Together (NHT) cooperative learning model on the learning outcomes of basic passing techniques in volleyball among grade X students of SMA Negeri 1 Mendoyo. This study uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method and a non-randomized control group pretest-posttest design. The research sample consists of two classes, namely the experimental class and the control class, each comprising 33 students selected randomly. The experimental class receives treatment with the NHT learning model, while the control class follows the conventional learning model. The data collection instrument is conducted through practical tests of basic underhand and overhand passing techniques in volleyball. The data were analyzed using normality tests, homogeneity, t-tests, and effectiveness calculations. The research results showed a significant improvement in student learning outcomes in the experimental group compared to the control class. The average lower passing score in the experimental group was 81.12 and the upper passing score was 81.33, which is much higher compared to the control class that obtained average scores of 44.97 and 39.76, respectively. The significance value of the t-test is 0.000 (p < 0.05), indicating that the NHT learning model has a significant impact on improving learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to systematically analyze various physical training approaches in athletics. This research employed a systematic review. Article searches were conducted across five electronic databases: Google Scholar, PubMed, ScienceDirect, SPORTDiscus, and Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), covering publications from 2013 to 2024. Inclusion criteria encompassed original research articles, systematic reviews, and meta-analyses discussing physical training in athletics. Data extraction and synthesis were performed thematically. From 47 articles meeting the inclusion criteria, six major training strategies were identified: (1) High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) and Sprint Interval Training (SIT) for improving VO2max and running economy; (2) Circuit training for cardiovascular endurance; (3) Plyometric training for explosive power development; (4) Sport-specific strength training for throwing events; (5) Periodization approaches for long-term training load management; and (6) Integration of wearable technology for real-time performance monitoring. The findings indicate that combined training approaches generally yield superior results compared to single-method interventions.

Abstract

This study examined the effectiveness of an Aquatic Play-Based Learning program in improving water confidence and fundamental aquatic skills among children aged 4-7 years. A quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest one-group approach was employed. The participants consisted of 22 beginner-level children. Research instruments included an observational water confidence scale and a fundamental aquatic skills assessment rubric, both validated through expert judgment and reliability testing. Results indicated significant improvements in both water confidence (t = 8.736; p < 0.05) and fundamental aquatic skills (t = 9.284; p < 0.05), with mean increases of 17.13 and 18.09 points respectively. Effect size values of 1.80 and 1.95 were categorized as large effects. These findings suggest that Aquatic Play-Based Learning is highly effective in enhancing both affective and motor domains in early childhood swimming instruction. as an innovative pedagogical model for beginner swimming instruction that is developmentally appropriate, engaging, and safe.
