Abstract

Virtual Private Network (VPN) is a form of private network through a public network by focusing on the security of the encrypted data in it. This research uses Cisco Packet Tracere software as a computer network technology simulation tool. Cisco Packet Tracker is a device in network technology simulation that functions for creation and development in networks. The purpose of this research is to create a VPN simulation using a star topology with Cisco Packet Tracer software. Star topology is a star-shaped topology, where each node is to the centre. The method used is a qualitative method with data collection techniques or Literature Study, namely looking for references from the internet in the form of journals. In creating a VPN simulation using Cisco Packet Tracer requires hardware in the form of a server, router, switch, and PC or computer.

Abstract

This study simulates a temperature and humidity monitoring system using the DHT22 sensor virtually on the Wokwi platform. The research background highlights the importance of monitoring temperature and humidity to maintain environmental conditions automatically, offering greater efficiency than manual monitoring. The study aims to test the functionality of devices and program codes without requiring physical hardware. The methods include literature review, software design, circuit schematic arrangement, and simulations with temperature and humidity parameters. Simulation results indicate the system can accurately measure temperature and humidity, display data on the LCD, and activate the relay and LED if the temperature exceeds 25°C. This research provides a foundation for developing automatic monitoring systems beneficial in daily life.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the applications of electromagnetic waves across fields such as daily life, military, and medicine. The research highlights the importance of electromagnetic waves in modern technology. A literature review method was employed to gather data from scientific journals focusing on the history, definitions, classifications, and applications of electromagnetic waves. The theoretical framework includes the development of electromagnetic wave theory, spectrum classification, and related technologies. Results reveal the use of microwaves in ovens and satellite communication, infrared in thermal imaging and guided missiles, and X-rays and gamma rays in medical diagnostics and treatment. This study underscores the significant contribution of electromagnetic waves in enhancing technological efficiency across various sectors. The findings are expected to encourage the development of innovative applications in the future.
