Abstract

This study aims to understand the supply chain management practices in the fresh retail sector, especially at PT. Bumi Nyiur Swalayan Palu City, Central Sulawesi. The main focus of this study is on the supply chain management of vegetable products that have perishable characteristics and require special handling such as Cold Chain Logistics (CCL). Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through direct observation and in-depth interviews with three key informants involved in supply chain management. The results of the study indicate that the application of the Supply Chain Operations Reference (SCOR) method contributes significantly to increasing operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. The five main elements of SCOR - planning, procurement, production, delivery, and returns - are implemented in an integrated manner to maintain product quality and freshness. This study also found that the success of the supply chain is determined by the coordination and collaboration between local farmers, market collectors, and hydroponic producers. PT. Bumi Nyiur Swalayan implements a management control system based on managerial functions in managing the flow of products, finances, and information in the supply chain. The flow of products is carried out from upstream to downstream, while the flow of finances and information moves reciprocally to ensure transparency and timeliness of delivery. FIFO techniques and quality monitoring are carried out to maintain the freshness and quality of products. This study concludes that structured and adaptive supply chain management is key to maintaining the competitiveness of fresh retail businesses amidst the challenges of dynamic consumer demand.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze how library management can contribute to improving students' reading interest at SD Inpres 1 Kawatuna. Based on interviews with the principal, teachers, and library managers, it was found that although the library facilities are quite adequate, the main challenge faced is the low interest of students in visiting the library. The main factors influencing the low interest in reading are the limited variety of book collections relevant to students' interests, as well as the lack of engaging literacy activities. Therefore, more creative efforts are needed to enhance literacy programs that can capture students' interest and foster better reading habits. Additionally, this study highlights the importance of integrating technology into literacy activities, such as the use of digital applications and e-books, to attract students who are more familiar with technology. Although challenges related to limited funds still exist, support from various parties, such as the government, the community, and parents, is necessary to create a conducive and attractive library environment for students. With effective library management, enhanced book collections, and engaging literacy activities, it is hoped that students' interest in reading will increase, ultimately contributing to improved education quality in Indonesia.

Abstract

Queuing systems in the Indonesian healthcare sector play a crucial role in delivering efficient and high-quality services to patients. This study aims to analyze various queuing system models implemented in hospitals and other healthcare facilities, with a primary focus on the FIFO (First-In-First-Out) method. In this system, patients who arrive earlier will be served first. Although the FIFO method has been proven effective in increasing efficiency, various challenges affect the performance of the queuing system, including high patient numbers, limited human resources, and inadequate infrastructure. This study also identifies the potential of technology in optimizing the queuing system, such as information technology-based applications that can expedite the registration process and reduce patient waiting times. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the health sector in Indonesia has been increasingly encouraged to adopt digital technology in queue management, which can improve the quality of health services. This technology can enhance the flow of information to patients and aid in setting queue priorities, particularly for vulnerable groups such as the elderly and pregnant women. Additionally, government policies that support digitalization in the healthcare sector also play a crucial role in overcoming various existing obstacles. By employing a holistic approach that incorporates infrastructure, technology, and human resources, it is anticipated that the queue system in the Indonesian healthcare sector can be significantly improved, offering faster and more efficient services and enhancing patient satisfaction.
