Abstract

This journal discusses religious authority for women in IMM. The phenomenon where in a religious group or organization still has the idea that women are not worthy or inappropriate to be dreamers or lead a religious activity even in ordinary people still think that women are only housewives who take care of their husbands, children and homes. This is a picture of the tradition of Islamic thought that is still rigid and undeveloped, thus impacting the social behavior of the immoderate community. so that this journal will discuss religious authority for women, especially in the Muhammadiyah Student Association as a forum for educating Islam-based student cadres and also has a special field regarding women or known as the IMMAWATI field, Therefore, it is interesting to know how religious authority for women in IMM, whether there is still a gender gap between men and women, and what are the problems experienced in applying authority in religion for women in IMM. The method used in this study is a qualitative method where this method is carried out by interviewing IMM members who have been active in IMM organizations as data that will be used as a reference to find out how religious authority for women in IMM.

Abstract

This research was motivated by some students at SMA Negeri 33 Jakarta who experienced difficulties in reading the Al-Quran and lacked understanding of the science of tajwid, so this research aims to determine the role of Islamic Religious Education and Character teachers in improving high school students' Al-Quran reading skills. 33 Jakarta. This research is a qualitative research. The data collection techniques used were observation of Islamic Religious Education and Characteristics subjects, interviews of Islamic Religious Education teachers at SMA Negeri 33 Jakarta and students in class X-5 and documentation. The results of the research show that the role of Islamic Religious Education and Character Teachers at SMA Negeri 33 Jakarta in improving students' ability to read the Al-Quran is: (1) The teacher teaches how to read the Al-Quran correctly. (2) Additional hours of Al-Quran learning outside of Teaching and Learning Activities. (3) Islamic Religious Education Teachers facilitate teaching materials such as Iqro and Juz Amma. (4) The teacher corrects the students' incorrect reading of the Koran. (5) The teacher introduces the science of recitation and waqf signs. (6) The teacher repeats Al-Quran material. (7) Teachers use Al-Quran learning methods, namely the peer method and memorization method. Thus, the role of Islamic Religious Education and Character Education teachers in improving students' Al-Quran reading skills includes teachers as teachers, mentors and facilitators.

Abstract

Gender equality itself does not mean that women's position must be higher than men, but the equality of both, of course, in terms of education. Because by improving the quality of education for women, we will give birth to a generation of intelligent children who will later advance the country in all areas of life. But in reality there is discrimination in the field of education and women are in second place. This research uses a literature study or known as library reserch. Data collection is carried out by collecting and retrieving relevant data then reviewing library sources such as books or journals. The type of research used is qualitative. While the approach used is content analysis, this is done by reviewing the content and explaining the material that has been studied descriptively. These steps are a way to obtain an explanation of Islamic education learning on gender equality. The results of this study show that gender equality in education must be realized, because it can have a good impact on the pace of the world and for students in it. By prioritizing gender equality in the world of education, male students will not feel themselves superior to women in taking part in this field.
