Abstract

Dynamic business challenges encourage organizations to develop new methods to improve productivity, effectiveness, and efficiency. Employee performance, according to responsibilities (Cita LW, 2016), determines organizational success. Optimal performance requires emotional intelligence, intellectual intelligence, commitment, motivation, and job satisfaction. Self-efficacy, an individual's belief in accomplishing a task, is critical. Motivation, influenced by the employee's attitude towards the work situation, is also crucial, with a proactive and positive attitude strengthening motivation for optimal performance. The method used in this research is the literature review method, where data is collected from various publication sources such as books, journals, research articles, and other relevant sources. The results of this literature review research show that Self Efficacy has a significant positive impact on job satisfaction and employee motivation. Self Efficacy helps employees feel appropriate and comfortable in their jobs, set clear goals, put in maximum effort, and persevere in the face of challenges, which overall improves their performance. Although innovation is expected to improve performance, its implementation is still not optimal and innovative features are not fully utilized. Therefore, further support and training is needed so that employees can effectively utilize innovations to maximize organizational performance.

Abstract

In the study of history in Indonesian, the use of digital technology has enhanced students’ engagement and their understanding of historical material. This study was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Tanjung Jabung Timur using a qualitative approach. The observation method was employed to observe how students interacted with interactive media such as animated videos, interactive maps, and web-based learning modules. The results showed that students were more engagement in class discussions and better understood more complex historical concepts. Digital technology has great potential to transform the paradigm of history learning into something more dynamic and relevant. This is despite issues such as the digital divide and the need for additional training for teachers. Indonesian can continue to move towards a more modern and inclusive future with a commitment to addressing these challenges.

Abstract

Aggressive behavior among students of Vocational High Schools (Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan/SMK) remains a common phenomenon and has the potential to disrupt the learning process as well as social relationships within the school environment. One psychological factor believed to be related to the emergence of aggressive behavior is emotional intelligence. This study aimed to examine the relationship between emotional intelligence and aggressive behavior among SMK students in the Bekasi City area. This research employed a quantitative approach with a correlational method. The research participants consisted of 96 SMK students aged 16–18 years who were selected using a purposive sampling technique. The research instruments were an emotional intelligence scale and an aggressive behavior scale, both of which met the criteria of validity and reliability. Data were analyzed using Kendall’s Tau B correlation test because the data were not normally distributed. The results showed a significant relationship between emotional intelligence and aggressive behavior, with a correlation coefficient of 0.299 (p < 0.001), indicating a positive relationship with low to moderate strength. The categorization results indicated that most students had a high level of emotional intelligence; however, at the same time, aggressive behavior was also predominantly in the high category. These findings suggest that emotional intelligence is related to aggressive behavior, but it is not the only factor influencing it. Therefore, a more comprehensive approach that considers environmental, social, and psychological factors is needed to reduce aggressive behavior among SMK students.
