Abstract

One of the goals of campus development is to provide more adequate facilities for campus residents. This is caused by the increase in vehicles and a large traffic movement that will result in parking users having difficulty parking and causing congestion. This study was devoted to examining the capacity of the FTSP UII motorcycle parking area. Data in this study was obtained by conducting a survey at the research location. The research results will be obtained by comparing the capacity of the FTSP UII parking area in the existing conditions and the next 5 years as well as comparing the value of fuel consumption. Based on the research that has been carried out, the existing parking lot can still accommodate vehicles. Furthermore, in the next 5 years, the parking lot can no longer accommodate vehicles. In addition, it can be concluded that the addition of parking gates can reduce the queue length by 56%, delay by 19%, and fuel consumption by 19%.

Abstract

Fenomena Over Dimension Over Load (ODOL) merupakan salah satu permasalahan transportasi di Indonesia terutama peran negatifnya terhadap kerusakan perkerasan jalan. Berfokus pada aspek overload dan kerusakan jalan, penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar dampak yang diberikan oleh aktivitas overload kendaraan terhadap kinerja suatu perkerasan jalan sehingga kedepannya fenomena ini dapat diantisipasi dan diminimalisir keberadaannya. Penelitian dilakukan dengan cara penerapan simulasi aktivitas overload kendaraan sebesar 0%, 20%, 40%, 60%, 80%, dan 100% pada ruas jalan dengan kriteria arteri atau ruas jalan yang sebagian besar dilalui oleh kendaraan ringan dan berat dengan rute antar kota, antar provinsi, ataupun antar pulau di Indonesia. Pada penelitian ini, ruas jalan yang dipilih dan memenuhi kriteria tinjauan adalah ruas jalan batas Kabupaten Kampar – batas Kota Bangkinang. Setelah simulasi aktivitas overload dan lokasi telah ditetapkan, maka selanjutnya dilakukan proses analisis menggunakan program KENPAVE untuk mengeksplorasi nilai dan tingkat kerentanan kinerja perkerasan terhadap aktivitas overload tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aktivitas overload kendaraan akan memberikan dampak berupa peningkatan nilai Cumulative Equivalent Single Axle (CESA) yang kemudian secara signifikan mulai mempengaruhi penurunan sisa umur perkerasan ketika aktivitas overload 40% - 100% diterapkan. Penurunan ini menyebabkan kehilangan umur masa layanan perkerasan sebesar 57,62% – 13,87% dari umur rencana semula, yaitu 10 tahun. Kesimpulan yang diperoleh berdasarkan hasil analisis ialah bahwa perkerasan jalan memiliki kerentanan penurunan kinerja yang serius akibat adanya fenomena ODOL terutama overload. Fenomena ini akan mengakibatkan peningkatan mekanisme pembebanan yang kemudian berpotensi untuk memicu penurunan masa umur pelayanan jalan sebelum umur rencananya tercapai.

Abstract

FTSP UII has a high number of academic activities. High academic activity will affect to supporting facilities such as parking facilities. One of the problems with parking facilities is the lack of parking capacity. This study aims to determine the characteristics of car parking in the FTSP UII area both on the road and outside the road and determine the improvement efforts that can be made. The analysis conducted in this study is guided by the Parking Technical Guidelines made by the Directorate General of Land Transportation (1996). Based on the analysis that has been done, it is concluded that in every parking area located outside the road body, the load value of the parking area is below 85%. Furthermore, in parking areas located on the body of the road, parking areas 1B-B and parking areas 2B-A have parking area load values above 90%. While parking area 1B-A and parking area 2B-B have a parking area load value below 90%. Improvement efforts for parking areas outside the road body are by arranging routes to the parking area and reusing unused parking areas. As for the parking area on the road body, it is planned to add a new parking area considering that there is a parking area that has a parking load of 90% and there is a parking area with unsafe parking index conditions. Thus, the addition of this parking area is expected to reduce the parking load on parking areas on the road body whose value exceeds 90%.

Abstract

his study explores the impact of changes in the Manual for Pavement Design (MDPJ) from the 2017 edition to the 2024 edition, published by the Directorate General of Highways (DJBM) in May 2024, using the same secondary data as a comparative approach. The secondary data used in this research is from the Prambanan ”“ Piyungan road section in 2023. This exploration is considered crucial to identify how modifications in the latest design guidelines may influence the final outcomes in road planning, particularly in pavement performance.Using the KENPAVE program, the performance comparison between the two pavement designs is assessed based on predicted vulnerability levels to rutting (Nr), fatigue cracking (Nf), and permanent deformation (Nd). The first predicted failure value is then selected and used as a reference in this study. The comparative analysis results (based on the current study”™s secondary data) indicate that pavement design based on MDPJ 2024 has a lower vulnerability value than MDPJ 2017, with a percentage difference of 5.5%. This study confirms that the updates in the latest design guidelines contribute to improving pavement performance. The findings of this research are expected to support the effective and sustainable implementation of MDPJ 2024 in Indonesia.

Abstract

Klangon - Tempel Road is one of the provincial roads in Sleman Regency,Yogyakarta. The majority of vehicles that pass through this road are heavy vehiclesfrom Semarang to Yogyakarta, including the Jogja - Bawen toll road constructionproject vehicles. The high traffic load is not matched by good road quality, causingdamage to the pavement structure. This study aims to determine the condition of thepavement and provide alternative pavement designs that can withstand traffic loadswell. Evaluation of flexible pavement was carried out using data from the DIYPublic Works Office of Housing and Energy Mineral Resources (PUPSDM DIY).The method used in this research is mechanistic-empirical method of KENPAVEprogram with elastic and viscoelastic modeling. For alternative pavement designusing Bina Marga 2017 method. The results showed that the existing pavement wasnot able to withstand the traffic load during the 10-year plan life, so an alternativedesign was needed. Two alternative pavement thickness designs based on the BinaMarga 2017 method are asphalt pavement with graded foundation layer and CTB.On the existing pavement, elastic modeling has a longer service life thanviscoelastic modeling. The first damage that occurs is permanent deformation,followed by rutting and fatigue cracking. Meanwhile, the alternative pavementproved to be able to withstand the traffic load during the plan life well. Analysis onalternative pavement shows that elastic modeling has better pavement performancethan viscoelastic modeling, with longer service life in resisting damage.

Abstract

Gradasi Superpave dalam desain campuran aspal seringkali memicu perdebatan mengenai keberadaan zona larangan dalam gradasinya. Penelitian ini betujuan untuk mengeksplorasi masalah tersebut dengan mengevaluasi pengaruh batas gradasi atas, tengah, dan bawah terhadap kinerja campuran aspal, khususnya stabilitas, kelelehan, dan nilai kepadatan. Metode eksperimen yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan Metode Marshall. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa gradasi atas memberikan stabilitas, kelelehan, dan kepadatan yang tertinggi sehingga menjadikannya pilihan yang optimum untuk kondisi lalu lintas berat. Namun, gradasi tengah juga menunjukkan performa baik walaupun gradasi atas tetap menjadi pilihan terbaik. Gradasi tengah dapat digunakan sebagai alternatif yang memadai dimana memiliki perbedaan 10,66% untuk nilai stabilitas, 3,03% untuk nilai kelelehan, dan 7,25% untuk nilai kepadatan dibandingkan dengan gradasi bawah. Penelitian ini berkontribusi pada penyempurnaan metode desain campuran aspal Superpave, memberikan rekomendasi berbasis bukti untuk desain campuran aspal optimum.

Abstract

Abstrak Kerusakan jalan yang tidak teratasi dengan baik dapat mengganggu aktivitas ekonomi dan mobilitas masyarakat, sehingga kondisi ini harus segera diantisipasi dengan berupa proses identifikasi dan evaluasi terhadap kinerja perkerasan baik itu secara empiris, mekanistik-empiris, ataupun kolaborasi antara keduanya. Pada metode empiris, solusi alternatif yang dapat diberikan adalah berupa analisis Pavement Condition Index (PCI) dan Surface Distress Index (SDI), sedangkan pada metode mekanistik-empiris solusi alternatif yang dapat diberikan adalah analisis software KENPAVE. Ruas Jalan Yogyakarta-Pulowatu merupakan jalan provinsi dengan kondisi volume lalulintas kendaraan tinggi serta memiliki kerentanan terhadap penurunan kinerja, sehingga ruas ini dipilih sebagai objek yang akan dianalisis menggunakan kolaborasi dua metode analisis. Pada metode empiris, kondisi ruas jalan memiliki nilai PCI sebesar 31,68 (very poor) dengan saran penanganan berupa major maintenance, sedangkan pada nilai SDI didapatkan angka 267,25 (rusak berat) dengan saran penanganan berupa rehabilitasi jalan. Pada metode mekanistik-empiris, desain eksisting teridentifikasi tidak mencapai umur rencana 20 tahun dan disarankan untuk melakukan redesain menggunakan kriteria FFF6 agar desain dapat memenuhi standar umur rencana. Kata kunci: PCI, SDI, KENPAVE, Penilaian Kondisi, Kerusakan Jalan  Abstract Road deterioration, if left unaddressed, can significantly disrupt economic activities and community mobility. Hence, it is imperative to promptly anticipate this condition through the identification and evaluation of pavement performance, whether through empirical methods, mechanistic-empirical approaches, or a combination of both. In empirical methods, potential solutions may involve analyzing the Pavement Condition Index (PCI) and Surface Distress Index (SDI), while in mechanistic-empirical approaches, solutions may entail utilizing KENPAVE software for analysis. The Yogyakarta-Pulowatu Road, a provincial thoroughfare experiencing high traffic volume, is prone to performance deterioration, making it a prime candidate for analysis using both methods. In the empirical method, the road segment registers a PCI value of 31.68 (very poor), suggesting the need for major maintenance, whereas the SDI value stands at 267.25 (severely damaged), indicating the necessity for road rehabilitation. In the mechanistic-empirical method, the existing design is identified as not meeting the planned 20-year lifespan and is recommended to redesign using the FFF6 criteria to meet the planned lifespan standards. Keywords: PCI, SDI, KENPAVE, Condition Assesment, Road Damage
