Abstract

This study highlights the importance of examining the tragic and romantic expressions of Dasamuka, the antagonist character in Ramayana paintings, as a reflection of Indonesian culture from a contemporary perspective. These artworks serve as a means to understand the complexity of human nature within the context of Indonesia’s rich historical and cultural heritage. The research employs an indirect method with specific stages, including material selection, visual sketches of Dasamuka, choosing object interactions, and selecting narrative backdrops with glimpses of tragic stage elements, expressive movements, lighting techniques, and finishing touches. The result is a painting that portrays the tragic and romantic expressions of Dasamuka, honing the artist’s ability to create unique and expressive works while preserving Indonesian cultural values. By placing the antagonist character at the center of discussion, this Ramayana painting offers a new dimension to the classic tale and invites the audience to realize that each character has their own story and reasons. Through this artwork, Indonesian society, especially the younger generation, is reminded of the importance of preserving cultural identity and local wisdom values. Moreover, this artwork serves as a means to strengthen and preserve Indonesia’s cultural identity amidst the rapid waves of globalization. Keywords: Dasamuka, Ramayana, paintings, Indonesian culture. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Kajian ini menyoroti pentingnya mengkaji ekspresi tragis dan romantis Dasamuka, tokoh antagonis lukisan Ramayana, sebagai cerminan budaya Indonesia dari perspektif kontemporer. Karya seni ini merupakan cara untuk memahami kompleksitas sifat manusia dalam konteks sejarah dan budaya Indonesia yang kaya akan warisan tradisi.Metode penelitian adalah metode tidak langsung dengan langkah-langkah pemilihan material, sketsa visual Dasamuka, interaksi objek dan pemilihan tetap naratif dengan kilasan tragedi panggung, gerakan ekspresif, teknik lighting dan finishing. Hasilnya adalah lukisan yang menghadirkan ekspresi tragis dan romantis Dasamuka, mengasah kemampuan seniman dalam menciptakan lukisan yang unik dan ekspresif, serta melestarikan nilai-nilai budaya Indonesia. Dengan menjadikan tokoh antagonis sebagai pusat perbincangan, lukisan Ramayana ini menawarkan dimensi baru pada cerita klasik dan mengajak penonton untuk menyadari bahwa setiap tokoh memiliki cerita dan alasannya masing-masing. Melalui karya seni ini, masyarakat Indonesia khususnya generasi muda diingatkan akan pentingnya menjaga identitas budaya dan nilai-nilai kearifan lokal. Selain itu, karya seni ini menjadi sarana untuk memperkuat dan melestarikan identitas budaya Indonesia di tengah derasnya arus globalisasi. Abstract

The increasing number of traffic accidents is a challenge for driver safety. The biggest factor in traffic accidents in terms of vehicles, one of which is brake failure. The number of cases of failed brakes was 7,083 cases and increased in the following year by 32% or 9,333 cases. The main cause of brake failure is the temperature condition in the brake calipers which overheats, triggering the occurrence of brake vapour lock. So, there is an urgent need for innovative solutions that can overcome the failure of the brakes on motorcycles due to the lack of effectiveness of the cooling system in the callipers. This study aimed to analyze the effectiveness of E-BRACE (electronic brake cooling control system) in preventing brake failure and to describe the design and innovation of E-BRACE as a technology for controlling brake failure through an integrated cooling system. The research was experimentally carried out with functionality tests to describe the effectiveness of E-BRACE. The test revealed that E-BRACE was very effective in stabilizing the temperature in the 9th to 15th-minute range. The highest E-BRACE effectiveness in the 15th minute is 55 %.

Abstract

Perajangan merupakan proses paling penting dalam menentukan kualitas produk keripik buah apel yang akan dihasilkan. Sejalan dengan hal tersebut, hasil rajangan sangat bergantung pada kondisi alat perajang maupun keahlian dari penggunanya. Para produsen keripik buah apel di Desa Tulungrejo Kecamatan Bumiaji Kota Batu masih menggunakan alat perajang manual yang mempunyai beberapa kekurangan. Sehingga perlu adanya pengembangan untuk menghasilkan performa mesin perajang yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan produsen tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan mesin perajang buah apel sesuai dengan Voice of Customer (VoC) atau kebutuhan dan keinginan produsen keripik buah apel. Metode pengembangan yang digunakan adalah Quality Function Deployment (QFD) dengan alat bantu representatif   berupa matriks House of Quality (HoQ). Di dalam HoQ, customer berharap mesin yang dikembangkan dapat menghasilkan tebal rajangan sesuai standar (3-5 mm) serta memiliki kemampuan yang lebih baik dari alat yang sudah ada disana. Dari hasil concept screening, terpilih konsep dengan kombinasi putaran rpm diatur menggunakan dimmer, ketebalan rajangan diatur dengan baut tekan, tuas pengarah menggunakan pegas tarik dan model mesin tipe horizontal. Mesin ini dirancang mempunyai dimensi minimalis yaitu sebesar 616 x 430 x 430 mm serta dengan komponen yang sederhana sesuai customer requirements pada HoQ. Kapasitas dari mesin ini sebesar 80 kg/jam dengan konsumsi daya listrik sebanyak 150 watt.
