The purpose of this study is to investigate how education is disseminated at Buntet pesantren in rural areas. The study used a mixed-methods technique, which combines qualitative and quantitative data analysis. Employing the snowball method to get information from informants while doing field observations. Data processing involves categorizing data in accordance with groups of recurring themes. Additionally, map data was gathered and processed using ArcGIS software to observe changes in space from 2002 to 2022. The findings demonstrates that the transmission of education can build the social character of the village community as well as the propagation of spatial changes.

Penetration that began with activities that were not economically oriented but developed into economic activities. The early education that was developed was traditional Islamic boarding school education aimed at spreading Islam. The purpose of this study is to explain the penetration space created by the activities of the Buntet Islamic boarding school. This research method combines a spatial approach using an Arch Map with surveys and field observations for ground data checks, interviews, and analysis of descriptions based on map data processing and field surveys, followed by interpretation of spatial penetration caused by Islamic boarding school activities. The study findings show that the Buntet Islamic Boarding School is a hub of activity that is not only focused on education but also on the village community's economic development. Abstract

The Buntet Islamic Boarding School has been established since 1750. Currently, the Buntet Islamic Boarding School has expanded promptly in terms of both education and distribution of its location. This development has a multiplier effect on the expansion of other activities, namely the service and trade industry sectors. As a result, there has been a huge increase in waste production in the Islamic boarding school and adjacent areas. Many studies on waste management have been conducted, but trash disposal management is linked to community habits and culture, thus the purpose of this research is to describe the application of waste sorting behaviors in the Buntet Islamic Boarding School region. The approach method used is: by collecting data through surveys and field observations, then analyzing the estimated waste generation at the study location and then analyzing waste selection. The application of voting habits is an innovative finding to be incorporated into the educational curriculum of an Islamic boarding school, so that it can provide a waste solution.
