Abstract

The family unit constitutes the smallest social structure, comprising of a father, mother, and their offspring. Within the family context, the cultivation of harmonious relationships between spouses and children is imperative. When these relationships falter, it can significantly impact the developmental trajectory and character formation of children. Consequently, children may exhibit undesirable behaviors within their family and the broader societal framework. One prevalent consequence is their susceptibility to cyberbullying, either as perpetrators or victims, resulting in various adverse effects on their academic, social, physical, and emotional well-being. These consequences are particularly pronounced in children who are vulnerable and lack the capacity to effectively address such issues. Therefore, there is a pressing need for an analysis aimed at addressing the escalating risk of cyberbullying among children stemming from suboptimal family relationships. This analysis adopts the perspective of Colossians 3:18-21, which addresses marital and familial relationships within the context of Christian life.

Abstract

Global higher education institutions (HEIs) face complex demands for strategic adaptation. However, the integration of Balanced Scorecard (BSC) perspectives-particularly learning, growth, stakeholder engagement, and sustainability-remains limited in Indonesian HEIs, creating a need for a multidimensional performance framework. Methods: This study analyzes BSC implementation in universities through a comparative analysis of Indonesian and international cases, identifying success factors and challenges. The method used is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) with thematic analysis of 22 articles from four major academic databases. Findings: Indonesian HEIs tend to focus on financial and internal process indicators. In contrast, international institutions are broader in integrating stakeholder and sustainability dimensions. Key challenges in Indonesia include limited IT infrastructure, academic cultural resistance, and inadequate contextualization of indicators. Success depends on strategic leadership, stakeholder engagement, digital infrastructure, and continuous adaptation. Implications: This study proposes a holistic, context-sensitive, and measurable BSC adaptation model for Indonesian higher education. This research offers practical guidance and a theoretical framework for performance management in HEIs, particularly in developing countries.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse and synthesise existing literature on the advantages and disadvantages of digitisation in catechesis. Data was collected from relevant journal articles published in the last five years. The results of the study show that although digitisation in catechetical activities offers many advantages, it also has very urgent disadvantages, such as the lack of knowledge among the faithful in utilising and operating digital media for catechetical activities, the lack of supporting infrastructure, the lack of interest among the faithful in spiritual content, some of the faithful utilising digital media to convey information about certain meetings, and some of the faithful also passively participating in online catechesis. Therefore, this study provides recommendations to the Church, catechists, and the faithful to overcome these challenges in order to increase the effectiveness of digitisation in catechesis.

Abstract

Plastic waste in Indonesia continues to increase and poses a complex environmental problem. Poor waste management leads to pollution and decreases the quality of life. Therefore, a solution is needed that is not only environmentally friendly but also integrates social, economic, technological, and educational aspects. This study aims to systematically review the potential of ecobricks as a multidimensional solution for plastic waste management. It analyzes 18 community service articles published between 2015 and 2025 from five national and international databases using a narrative-thematic synthesis method. The results show that ecobricks encourage community participation in waste management, open up economic opportunities through value-added products, and significantly reduce plastic waste volume. Technologically, ecobricks have sufficient strength for non-structural construction. In the education sector, ecobricks help improve environmental awareness and literacy among students and the general public. This study recommends strengthening local policies, continuous training, and further research to assess the durability of ecobricks in various environmental conditions.

Abstract

This research uses a quantitative approach based on positivist philosophy, specifically utilizing survey-based methods to investigate certain populations or samples. This research aims to dig deeper into data regarding consumers of MSMEs (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) in Yogyakarta. The research methodology involved simple random sampling and incidental sampling to assess the extent to which TikTok, as a social media marketing platform (X1), consumer perceptions (X2), and the role of consumer ethnocentrism (X3) influence purchase intention of local products (Y) among MSME consumers in Yogyakarta. Primary data were obtained through questionnaires filled out directly by respondents, while secondary data came from various sources such as books, journals, and research findings relevant to the object of research. The research population includes TikTok application users who are also MSME consumers in Yogyakarta. Multiple linear regression analysis was used as an analytical tool to reveal the effect of the independent variable on the dependent variable. The results showed that the T-test results confirmed the significant influence of TikTok as a social media marketing platform, consumer perceptions, and the role of consumer ethnocentrism on the purchase intention of local products. The F-test results further reveal that TikTok, consumer perceptions, and consumer ethnocentrism together have a significant influence on the purchase intention of local products among MSME consumers in Yogyakarta.

Abstract

This study conducts a systematic literature review to analyze the complex relationship between the commercialization of cultural tourism and its influence on authenticity and the preservation of local wisdom from both theoretical and managerial perspectives. By synthesizing findings from ten selected articles published between 2000 and 2025, the study investigates how commercialization, through the process of commodification, poses challenges to cultural integrity while simultaneously providing opportunities for preservation. The analysis reveals that the success of commercialization in maintaining authenticity and sustainability is mediated by multiple factors, including community participation, legal protection, effective destination management, and the integration of digital innovation. The study further emphasizes the managerial importance of stakeholder collaboration and community-based governance as key mechanisms to harmonize market objectives with cultural values. Synthesizing these insights, a Community-Based Cultural Commercialization (CBCC) framework is proposed, integrating three managerial pillars: community empowerment, digital co-creation, and institutional governance. This framework strengthens the practical and theoretical understanding of sustainable cultural tourism, offering strategic guidance for policymakers, destination managers, and cultural institutions in balancing economic goals with the preservation of local wisdom.

Abstract

The Catholic Church in Indonesia is facing a new reality amid the wave of the digital revolution that has transformed the way people communicate, relate, and live out their faith. This transformation has had a significant impact on Catholic family life, which has long been regarded as the Ecclesia Domestica the first place for faith formation and the nurturing of Christian values. Challenges such as digital secularization, virtual individualism, unequal access to technology, and the culture of instant gratification have urged the Church to renew its pastoral approaches in order to remain relevant and contextual. The transformation of Catholic family pastoral care in the digital era has thus become an essential process to reaffirm the family’s role as a living center of faith formation that is dynamic and responsive to the changing times. Using a qualitative method with a literature study approach, this research explores new directions in Catholic family pastoral ministry in Indonesia and proposes concrete models of accompaniment appropriate to the digital context. The findings reveal four key models that can be pastorally implemented. First, the digital incarnation model, which emphasizes the Church’s active and human presence in the digital world as a means of marturia, koinonia, and diakonia. Second, the digital spiritual literacy model, which fosters families’ critical and ethical awareness in the use of technology. Third, the hybrid pastoral model, which integrates both online and offline engagements to preserve authentic human relationships and sacramental experiences. Fourth, the participatory catechesis model for youth, which encourages young people to become creators of digital faith content rather than passive consumers. The implication of this transformation is the urgent need for collaboration among the Church, families, educational institutions, and lay communities to develop an inclusive, dialogical, and spiritually renewing pastoral practice. Thus, the Catholic Church in Indonesia is called to transform the digital world from a perceived threat into a new space for evangelization and the growth of family faith.
