Abstrak Pendidikan merupakan proses penting dalam membentuk sikap dan perilaku siswa, dengan kemampuan membaca menjadi salah satu fondasi utama dalam pembelajaran. Namun, siswa sekolah dasar sering menghadapi berbagai kesulitan membaca, seperti kurangnya daya ingat, kesulitan mengeja, melafalkan huruf, dan mengenali tanda baca. Faktor-faktor ini dapat dipengaruhi oleh minimnya perhatian dari lingkungan rumah, kurangnya bimbingan, dan hambatan fisik seperti kesulitan melihat jarak jauh. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kepustakaan untuk menganalisis penyebab dan strategi mengatasi kesulitan membaca pada siswa kelas II A. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan interaktif seperti penggunaan media visual, motivasi, dan program remedial membaca dapat membantu mengatasi kesulitan membaca siswa. Guru berperan penting dalam memberikan dukungan emosional, memahami karakteristik individu siswa, dan tidak menyalahkan siswa atas kesulitan mereka. Dengan strategi yang tepat, siswa dapat meningkatkan kemampuan membaca mereka, yang berkontribusi pada keberhasilan akademik dan kepercayaan diri mereka. Abstract Education is an important process in shaping students' attitudes and behavior, with reading ability being one of the main foundations in learning. However, elementary school students often face various reading difficulties, such as poor memory, difficulty spelling, pronouncing letters, and recognizing punctuation marks. These factors can be influenced by minimal attention from the home environment, lack of guidance, and physical obstacles such as difficulty seeing long distances. This research uses a literature approach to analyze the causes and strategies for overcoming reading difficulties in class II A students. The research results show that interactive approaches such as the use of visual media, motivation, and reading remedial programs can help overcome students' reading difficulties. Teachers play an important role in providing emotional support, understanding students' individual characteristics, and not blaming students for their difficulties.
