Abstract

This paper explores the role of Salawat Adhiya Ulami in providing peace of mind to the members ofMajelis Jalsatul Itsnain Baa Alawy in Katapang, Bandung, West Java, Indonesia. This study employs aqualitative descriptive method and a phenomenological approach to uncover the life experiences of thecongregation. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed usingqualitative analysis techniques. The findings reveal that Salawat Adhiya Ulami encapsulates the life historyof the Prophet Muhammad from birth to death and serves as a medium for expressing the congregation'slonging for the Prophet. The study highlights that, through a Sufistic approach, the act of reciting SalawatAdhiya Ulami provides a profound sense of inner peace to the congregation, fostering a belief in attaininghusnul khatimah (a good ending) in their lives. This belief is rooted in the Qur’anic verse: “O calm souls,return to your Lord, well-pleased and pleasing to Him. Enter among My servants, and enter MyParadise.” This research contributes to the study of Islamic spirituality by emphasizing the psychological andspiritual benefits of devotional practices, as well as offering a methodological insight into the use ofphenomenology in exploring religious experiences.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of using digital media in increasing students' learning motivation in the subject of Akidah Akhlak at MI Al Khoiriyah Patihan. The background of this study is based on the low learning motivation of students as seen from the lack of active participation in the learning process and the lack of interest in understanding the material of Akidah Akhlak. To overcome these problems, this study applies digital media as a learning aid to increase student involvement and motivation. This study uses the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method which is carried out in two cycles. Each cycle consists of the planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The subjects of the study were grade V students of MI Al Khoiriyah Patihan. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The data obtained were analyzed descriptively quantitatively and qualitatively to see changes in students' learning motivation after the application of digital media. The results of the study showed that the use of digital media, such as learning videos, interactive presentations, and educational applications, was able to significantly increase students' learning motivation. This is indicated by the increasing activeness of students in learning, their enthusiasm in following the material, and the improvement in learning evaluation results. In the first cycle, the percentage of students who showed high motivation reached 65%, and increased to 85% in the second cycle. The conclusion of this study is that the use of digital media can be an effective solution in increasing students' learning motivation in the subject of Akidah Akhlak. With the application of digital media, learning becomes more interesting, interactive, and enjoyable for students. Therefore, teachers are expected to be able to integrate technology in learning to create a more dynamic learning atmosphere and support increased student learning motivation

Abstract

This study aims to improve student learning outcomes in the subject of Akidah Akhlak through the application of the Contextual Teaching and Learning strategy. The method used is Classroom Action Research which is carried out in two cycles. The subjects of the study were grade 5 students of MI Darul Istiqomah Srigading. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and learning outcome tests. The results of the study showed that the application of the CTL strategy was able to increase students' active involvement in the learning process. In addition, there was a significant increase in student learning outcomes after the implementation of this strategy, as indicated by the increase in the average class value from the first cycle to the second cycle. This success is due to a more contextual learning approach, linking material to students' real experiences so that it is easier to understand. Thus, the CTL strategy has proven effective in improving students' understanding and learning outcomes in the subject of Akidah Akhlak. It is hoped that this study can be a reference for teachers in developing more innovative and interactive learning methods.

Abstract

The Palopo City watershed could not accommodate the high discharge of rainfall that had fallen previously. The Green Open Space (GOS) had an ecological function by absorbing rainwater. Urban green open spaces absorbed surface flow water in the past, reducing the risk of flooding. In the past, this research measured the effectiveness of three green open spaces (Islamic Center, Pancasila Field, and Salubulo Field) in reducing flooding in Palopo City. We collected data on vegetation types, infiltration capacity, and runoff discharge. Data analysis involved the analysis of infiltration capacity (F), runoff discharge (Q), and green open space effectiveness. In the three green space locations, the following vegetation types were found: Katapang (Terminalia catappa), Palm (Dypsis lutescens), Trambesi (Samanea Saman), and Grass (Cyperus rotundus). The highest total infiltration capacity in the Salubulo Field Green Space resulted in 155 m3/hour (fast category). In the past, the most significant runoff discharge's total value was GOS Pancasila Field: 713.4 mm3/minute. The study concluded that the Salubulo Field Green Space had the highest infiltration capacity (160 m3/hour) and runoff discharge (69 mm3/minute), making it the most effective in reducing flooding in Palopo City in the past. This was > 1 (effectiveness criteria achieved), and the space was dominated by vegetation (trees and grasses).

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors that affect the income of shallot farming in North Kolaka Regency. The independent variables studied included farmer experience (LN_X1), amount of fertilizer (LN_X2), land area (LN_X3), and labor (LN_X4), while dependent variables were shallot farming income (LN_Y). Cobb-Douglas production function methods and multiple linear regression were used to analyze the data with the help of SPSS 27. The results of the analysis showed that the four independent variables had a significant influence on farming's income simultaneously, with an F value of 658.017 and a significance of 0.000. The land area variable had the greatest partial influence, with a coefficient of 1.385 and a significance of 0.000, while the variables of labor and fertilizer had a positive influence, with significance of 0.014 and 0.038, respectively. However, the farmer's experience did not affect income (significance 0.374). A coefficient of determination (R2) of 0.989 indicates that the model can explain 98.9% of income variations. Other factors outside the model affect the rest of the variation. The results show that increasing the income of shallot farmers can be achieved through the efficient use of input, as well as the strategic role of land access and labor.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the condition of water availability in oil palm areas and assess the potential for its use for more environmentally friendly alternative crops using a water balance-based approach. The research location is in Buntu Babang Village, Bajo District, with primary data consisting of rainfall and climate data from BMKG during the period of 2014–2024. Effective rainfall analysis is conducted using Cropwat 8.0 application, while water availability calculations use the Thornthwaite & Mather water balance method. The research findings indicate that the average annual rainfall is quite high, but its distribution is uneven. The water surplus occurs from November to April, while the period of water deficit occurs from August to September. The water requirement for mature oil palm plants is an average of 82.5 mm/month. The comparison between the availability of water after the needs of oil palm are met and the water needs of alternative crops shows that the potential for intercropping corn and peanuts is limited to the months with water surplus. Corn plants have a higher chance of being developed during the seedling to vegetative phases in the wet period, while peanuts are more suitable during the seedling and flowering phases in the months with adequate water availability.

Abstract

Junior High School students in Solok City are directed to participate in prospering the mosque in their neighborhood by participating in religious activities managed jointly by the Regional Government, Education Office, Ministry of Religious Affairs, Religious Teachers, Preachers, Mosque Administrators and parents. In order to make this activity a success, the principal's management is needed, especially in fostering students' morals. The purpose of this study was to analyze the steps taken by schools in fostering the morals of Junior High School students in Solok City. This study used a qualitative method with a case study approach that began with data collection through interviews, observations, and document analysis, then the data was analyzed. The results of the research analysis showed five successful steps for the principal in fostering students' morals: 1) the principal planned the development of students' morals by instructing all teachers to foster morals and including moral development in the learning implementation plan. 2) The principal organizes moral development starting from level 1 moral development carried out by educators and education staff by providing exemplary examples, moral development carried out by the homeroom teacher for the students under his supervision, level 2 moral development carried out by guidance and counseling teachers who cannot be handled by the homeroom teacher, level 3 development of homeroom teachers and guidance and counseling teachers, level 4 moral development of students through collaboration with parents. 3) The principal carries out moral development of students a) directly such as providing exemplary examples, advising and reprimanding undisciplined teachers and b) indirectly moral development carried out by all educators, establishing cooperation with various parties in developing morals of students such as cooperation between Islamic religious education teachers and general study teachers. 4) The principal controls the development of morals of students through all teaching teachers. Teachers have the responsibility to guide, foster and direct students to have good morals. In this case, the teacher conveys the results of his development to the principal through the student representative. 5) The principal evaluates students' moral development by administering punishments or sanctions in collaboration with the students' parents. The implications of this research can provide principals and educators with insights into how to foster students' moral development. This research can serve as a foundation for other researchers to conduct further research in different contexts and on different issues.

Abstract

This study aimed to improve the mathematics learning outcomes of sixth-grade students through the use of Educaplay learning media. The research was motivated by the low learning outcomes of students, as indicated by many students who had not achieved the minimum mastery criteria. The research method used was Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The research subjects were 11 sixth-grade students. Data collection techniques were carried out through learning outcome tests and observations. The results showed that the use of Educaplay learning media was able to improve students' learning outcomes. In the pre-cycle stage, the average score of students was 41.82 with a mastery level of 27.27%. In cycle I, the average score increased to 74.55 with a mastery level of 54.55%. In cycle II, the average score reached 85.82 with a mastery level of 81.82%. These results indicate that Educaplay learning media is effective in improving mathematics learning outcomes of elementary school students.

Abstract

This study aimed to improve students’ mathematics learning outcomes of fourth-grade students at SDN 01 Paninjauan, where only 43% of students achieved the Learning Objective Achievement Criteria (KKTP). This study aimed to improve students' mathematics learning outcomes through the application of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) model assisted by a snake and ladder game. The research method used was collaborative classroom action research (PTK) referring to the Kemmis & McTaggart model, which was carried out in two cycles, with 7 fourth-grade students as the research subjects. Data collection techniques in this study included tests, observations, documentation, and interviews. The results showed a significant increase in the average cognitive learning outcomes, from 64.28 in the pre-cycle to 72.85 in cycle I, and reaching 85.71 in cycle II. Classical learning completeness also increased from 43% in the pre-cycle to 57% in cycle I, and reached 86% at the end of cycle II. In addition, student activity and learning management by teachers also improved with a “Good” rating. Therefore, it can be concluded that the application of the TGT model assisted by the snake and ladder media is effective in improving the mathematics learning outcomes of fourth-grade students at SDN 01 Paninjauan. This study contributes to the development of interactive learning strategies in elementary education.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low science learning outcomes of fourth-grade students. at SDN 16 Lubuak Tarok on the topic of simple water filtration. Learning activities were still dominated by conventional teaching methods which made students less active and had difficulty understanding scientific concepts. This study aimed to improve students' science learning outcomes through the implementation of the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) approach. This study used Classroom Action Research (PTK) conducted in two cycles consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The research subjects were 11 fourth grade students of SDN 16 Lubuak Tarok. Data were collected through learning outcome tests, observation sheets, and documentation. Data analysis used both quantitative and qualitative techniques. The results showed that the implementation of the STEM approach improved students’ learning outcomes. In cycle I, the average score was 80,5 with a learning completeness percentage of 72.73% (8 students completed). After improvements in cycle II, the average score increased to 95 with a completeness percentage of 100% (11 students completed). The findings indicate that the STEM approach can effectively improve students' understanding through experimental activities, problem-solving, and designing simple technology related to real-life situations. Therefore, the STEM approach can be used as an effective learning strategy to improve science learning outcomes in elementary schools.
