Abstract

This research aims to explore the role of schools in supporting adolescent mental health through counseling programs. The methods used are lectures, question-and-answer discussions, and demonstrations to measure changes in understanding, behavior, or mental health related to the counseling program implemented. The research results show that the role of schools is very important in promoting adolescent mental health through counseling programs. Factors such as support from school staff, integration of counseling programs in the curriculum, and increased student awareness and accessibility to counseling services greatly influence the effectiveness of the program. This research shows that this approach has great potential to shape youth mental health, reduce stress, improve emotional well-being, and facilitate resilience among students. These findings encourage the need for increased support for counseling programs in educational settings to promote better mental health among adolescents.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of Literacy Rates (AMH) and School Enrollment Rates (APS) on poverty levels in North Sumatra Province from 2017 to 2023. Employing a quantitative causality approach, this research utilizes secondary data published by the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of North Sumatra. Multiple linear regression analysis was applied to test the influence of independent variables on the dependent variable. The results show that (1) Literacy Rates do not significantly affect poverty levels, (2) School Enrollment Rates also do not significantly affect poverty levels, and (3) jointly, Literacy Rates and School Enrollment Rates account for 79.60% of the variance in poverty levels, with the remainder influenced by other factors not included in this study. The study recommends enhancing community-based education programs and increasing educational access to reduce poverty more effectively

Abstract

Motivasi kerja merupakan dorongan dari dalam diri seseorang yang memengaruhi sikap dan perilaku dalam menjalankan tugas untuk mencapai tujuan organisasi. Tingkat motivasi kerja yang tinggi berperan penting dalam meningkatkan produktivitas dan efektivitas kerja pegawai. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara motivasi kerja dengan kinerja pegawai di Badan Nasional Pencarian dan Pertolongan (BASARNAS) Kelas A Kota X. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain cross sectional. Sampel berjumlah 53 responden yang diambil melalui teknik random sampling dari total populasi 112 orang. Instrumen penelitian berupa kuesioner tertutup dengan skala Likert yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Hasil analisis univariat menunjukkan sebagian besar pegawai memiliki motivasi kerja rendah dan kinerja tinggi. Analisis bivariat dengan uji Chi-Square menunjukkan terdapat hubungan signifikan antara motivasi kerja dengan kinerja pegawai dengan nilai p-value = 0,000 (p < 0,05) dan Prevalensi Ratio sebesar 23,692. Artinya, pegawai dengan motivasi kerja rendah memiliki kemungkinan 23,692 kali lebih besar untuk memiliki kinerja rendah dibandingkan pegawai dengan motivasi tinggi. Penelitian ini menunjukkan pentingnya upaya peningkatan motivasi melalui pengembangan diri, penghargaan, dan lingkungan kerja yang kondusif untuk meningkatkan kinerja pegawai.
