Abstract

Patients with impaired glucose tolerance due to excessive insulin secretion and glucose levels will be maintained at normal levels or slightly increased. However, the role of B cells if they are unable to keep up with the increased need for insulin, then glucose levels will increase and type II DM will occur. Despite the impaired insulin secretion that is characteristic of type II DM, there is still insulin in adequate amounts to prevent the breakdown of fat and the production of ketone bodies that accompany it, therefore diabetic ketoacidosis does not occur in type II DM, however, type II DM does. Uncontrolled will cause other acute problems such as non-ketotic hypoglycemic hyperglycemic syndrome (HHNK). The problems that arise here are Mrs. Y's partners/family do not know 1) the conditions that pose a risk of a critical condition in people with diabetes mellitus, her family/Mrs. Y do not know what can prevent DM people from being in a critical condition. 2) Mrs. Y stated that his blood sugar tends to rise because he is not disciplined in consuming and managing food intake. The results of the conversation between the Tuanku Tambusai Hero University service team and one of the residents of the Bangkinang Seberang Village, Muara Uwai Village, namely Mrs. Y, who also has diabetes mellitus from heredity and unhealthy eating habits, which results in an increase in blood sugar. Mrs. Y was diagnosed with DM in May 2022, when her blood sugar level was detected at 350 mg/dL. She was advised by her doctor to undergo insulin therapy for life. If you experience critical signs and symptoms of DM, immediately go to the health service so that you can get action quickly and precisely.

Abstract

Salah satu masalah penyakit yang terjadi pada balita yaitu Infeksi Saluran Pernapasan. Oleh karna itu pentingnya pendidikan seorang ibu untuk mendapatkan informasi dan pengetahuan yang baik mengenai penyakit Infeksi Saluran Pernapasan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan pendidikan ibu dengan kejadian ISPA pada balita Di Desa Tarai Bangun Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Tambang. Metode penelitian menggunakan Case Control dengan jumlah sampel 94 kasus dan 94 control. Pengambilan sampel pada kasus menggunakan teknik total sampling dan pada control dengan teknik simple random sampling. Analisa data menggunakan uji chi squere. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ada hubungan pendidikan ibu dengan kejadian ISPA pada Balita di Desa Tarai Bangun dengan nilai p value 0,022. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini sebagian besar pendidikan ibu rendah yaitu sebanyak 122 responden (64,9%), balita yang terkena ISPA 94 (50,0%) dan balita yang tidak terkena ISPA sebanyak 94 (50,0%) agar anak terhindar dari penyakit ispa pentingnya pendidikan orang tua untuk mengetahui pencegahan-pencegahan penyakit ISPA dan faktor-faktor yang menyebabkan anak terkena ISPA.

Abstract

The waste problem remains a major challenge in maintaining environmental sustainability, particularlyrelated to soil quality. People's habit of littering causes pollution, reduces soil fertility, and has negativeimpacts on health. Through this community service activity, efforts were made to raise public awarenessabout the importance of disposing of waste properly and introduce the 3R concept (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) asa method of sustainable waste management. The activity was carried out through socialization and directpractice with the community of Selli Village, Bengo District. The socialization included an explanation of theimpact of waste on the environment, while the direct practice included waste sorting, making simple compost,and reusing used goods that can still be used. The results of the activity showed an increase in communityunderstanding of the dangers of waste if not managed properly. In addition, a shared commitment wasformed to get used to disposing of waste properly and applying the 3R principle in everyday life. Thecommunity also began to be able to utilize organic and inorganic waste more productively. This communityservice activity is effective in fostering a culture of environmental awareness while also being a concrete stepin preserving the soil and creating a cleaner and more sustainable environment.
