Abstract

This research focuses on and aims to recover the view of objectivating the female body, which is reduced to merely satisfying male lust, a source of sin, and other negative attachments. This perspective is suspected to be one of the factors in the sexual violence that occurs. The research method used in this research is qualitative, with a philosophical-theological approach. The philosophical approach uses Armada Riyanto's thoughts on “Menjadi-Mencintai” and “Relasionalitas:, while theologically using the human concept in the Document on Church Unity (DKG), Joas Adiprasetya's thoughts on the body in “the Labirin Kehidupan”, and the Theology of the Body of Pope John Paul II's. Beside that, this research also uses a documentation study approach to the DKG-PGI as well as several points of discussion in the PGI MPL annual meeting related to the spirituality of modesty. The findings of this research, that women's bodies are also in the image and likeness of God, and women's bodies should be respected by not crossing the boundaries of access so that sexual violence occurs. Beside that, in the findings from the documentation study on DKG, there is not a single word explicitly about sexual violence, although perhaps PGI discusses it in a larger scope, namely human rights. In this research, a possible offer to respond to the complexity of problems related to sexual violence within the scope of churches in Indonesia is to include in the DKG-PGI the church's commitment to jointly address and prevent sexual violence; encourage member churches to prepare prospective ministers and ministers with an awareness of the knowledge of sexual violence, such as by developing a 'Theology of the Body' and practicing a spirituality of moderation; on the other hand, if sexual violence has occurred, it is important to provide a safe place and advocate for victims of sexual violence.

Abstract

Abstract

The focus of this paper explores the values of Pancasila in the local wisdom of the Topo Uma community in Porelea village, Kec. Pipikoro, Kab. Sigi, Central Sulawesi. Specifically the Raego Dance, this is a dance performed by men and women in a circular formation while reciting verses in the old Uma language. The purpose of this paper is to explore whether the assumption that the values of Pancasila in the local wisdom of the Indonesian people are truly rooted and especially internalized by the Topo Uma community. The method used in this research is qualitative, with a phenomenological philosophical approach from the perspective of Armada Riyanto, which is obtained from the book Local Wisdom ~ Pancasila: The Items of Indonesian Philosophy, as well as in his book Relationality and Methodology. This phenomenological philosophical perspective contributes a phenomenological interpretation to describe the experience and appreciation of the Topo Uma community. The findings in this research, the saying that the values of Pancasila are alive and rooted in the local wisdom of the community is not just a slogan. In particular, the first precept, it was permeated and lived in the life of the Topo Uma community even before the entry of Christianity there as a designation for entities that transcend or overcome, namely; Karampue Langi, Karampue Tana or Topehila Ngkarawe Topejadi.

Abstract

The focus of this paper discusses the Fear of Missing Out (FoMO) phenomenon, which is a condition of anxiety when users miss the latest information, do not update other people's activities in their absence. These conditions can encourage users to experience internet addiction and spend a lot of time on the internet, in order to get a feeling of being involved and joining. Dasein condition that dissolves in everyday life in a digital world like that will be reflected in Martin Heidegger's thoughts about technology and human relations with it, specifically Gestell and Gelassenheit. The purpose of this paper is to offer a metaphysically based attitude (so it's not just a pragmatic attitude), when dealing with gadgets or mobile phones, Gelassenheit. The method used in this paper is qualitative, with a phenomenological approach. In this article, I also take a lot of inspiration from F. Budi Hardiman's book Aku Klik Maka Aku Ada. The findings in this paper, Heidegger's thoughts about technology are still relevant today. It must be admitted that technology is indeed very beneficial for human life, it is also a revelation of history, users are engrossed and busy thinking calculatively and at home in the digital world. So Heidegger's offer of the Gelassenheit attitude, namely relaxing towards tools provides important and deep inspiration for users.

Abstract

This study discusses land hegemony in Indonesia, a historical product of colonialism. It is rooted in agrarian policy, which created the term domein verklaring, where land, where proof of ownership cannot be shown, is claimed as state-owned land. This colonial logic continued to be inherited and persisted in land issues even when Indonesia became independent. This paper uses Frantz Fanon's postcolonial theory as an analytical instrument to see the relationship between land hegemony and colonial residue. It is also hoped that the use of Fanon's postcolonial theory can provide an important contribution to the church in the "new era" to reflect on faith and become a theoretical basis for church projects involved in social transformation. This paper has three findings. First, land hegemony is rooted in colonialism policies that are still inherited today in Indonesia. Second, for Fanon, decolonization is the only way to liberate the oppressed, and the prerequisite is taking back the most fundamental and concrete value, i.e land. Third, the theoretical basis of Fanon's postcolonial theory provides options for an engaged church project for the protest and process of social transformation.
