Abstract

This research aims to analyze the role of the Cirebon City National Zakat Amil Agency (BAZNAS) in the process of collecting and distributing zakat funds at the Cirebon State Islamic Institute (IAIN) and its impact on socio-religious welfare. BAZNAS as the official institution that manages zakat has an important responsibility in ensuring that zakat funds are collected optimally and distributed on target. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods, involving in-depth interviews with related parties at BAZNAS and IAIN Cirebon, as well as analysis of relevant documents. The research results show that BAZNAS Cirebon City has succeeded in increasing the collection of zakat funds through various education and outreach programs, as well as improving the distribution system to be more targeted. The positive impact of the distribution of zakat funds can be seen in increasing socio-religious welfare within the IAIN Cirebon environment, including increasing access to education for underprivileged students and strengthening religious activities. This research provides recommendations for developing more effective zakat collection and distribution strategies to achieve broader social and religious welfare.

Abstract

Background: Dental and oral hygiene is one of the factors that trigger dental caries. Preventive efforts can be made to anticipate oral health problems, one of which is gargling. The chemical mouthwash ingredient that is often used is chlorhexidin, while if used for a long time it can cause side effects in the form of bacterial resistance and discomfort. Therefore, the need for natural ingredients to minimize side effects that can arise cheap, safe and effective natural ingredients for gargling, one of which is moringa leaves. Objective: The purpose of this study was to determine the debris index before and after gargling with moringa reduce water in TPQ Al-Barokah Bojonggede students in 2024. Methods: This research method is quasi experiment research.  This study was conducted with a sample of 30 students obtained using purposive sampling technique.  The instrument used was the debris index examination sheet. Results: The difference of the debris index score before and after gargling with moringa reduce water is 0.43. With an average debris index score before gargling is 1,56 and the average debris index score after gargling is 1,13. Conclusion: It can be concluded that after gargling with moringa reduce water can reduce the debris index score.

Abstract

The production process of nitromethane through vapor phase nitration reaction between nitric acid and methane is a highly energy-intensive process requiring heating at high temperatures up to 653 K. The significant dependence on external utilities results in high operational costs and carbon emissions, necessitating energy system optimization to enhance efficiency and product competitiveness. This study aims to analyze energy efficiency in the preliminary design of a 25,000 tons per year nitromethane plant using pinch technology to determine minimum energy requirements and design an optimal Heat Exchanger Network. The pinch analysis method was applied by extracting process stream data including mass flow rate, heat capacity, inlet and outlet temperatures from four main heat exchanger units. The analysis was conducted using problem table, composite curve, and grid diagram with a ΔTmin value of 10 K. The analysis results show that the system requires a minimum hot utility of 798.418 kW and cold utility of 1,925.67 kW with a pinch temperature at 308 K. The optimal Heat Exchanger Network configuration successfully reduced the furnace load to 313.303 kW through internal heat integration, utilizing sensible heat from high-temperature reactor products for feed preheating. The implementation of pinch technology in this system has the potential to generate significant energy savings compared to conventional design, while contributing to CO₂ emission reduction and enhancing sustainability of chemical industrial processes.
