Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of education and compensation on employee work motivation at Suzuki Dealer PT. Megah Putera Kendari. Rapid technological advancements pose new challenges, including the demand for adaptation to big data and automation, which require employees with relevant educational skills. This research uses a quantitative approach with a sample of 55 employees, selected through proportional stratified random sampling. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression with SPSS 23 software, including normality tests, t-tests, F-tests, and the coefficient of determination (R²). The results show that education has a positive and significant effect on work motivation. Good educational qualifications contribute to increasing employee motivation. Additionally, compensation also has a positive and significant effect on work motivation. The better the compensation provided, in line with the principles of fairness, appropriateness, and equity, the higher the employee work motivation. This study highlights the importance of education and fair compensation in enhancing work motivation at PT. Megah Putera Kendari.

Abstract

The exploitation of small islands (area less than 2000 km²) for mining activities can negatively impact vegetation conditions, as observed on Manuran Island in West Papua Province. This study aimed to assess the environmental impact of mining on Manuran Island by analyzing spatial and temporal changes in vegetation indices using the Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) method to classify land cover using Landsat 7 ETM satellite imagery and Landsat 8 OLI imagery. The NDVI classification grouped four land cover types: non-vegetation, open soil, sparse vegetation, and moderate vegetation. The analysis revealed a significant increase in non-vegetation land cover from 2002 to 2015, indicating a direct impact from mining activities. However, between 2015 and 2025, the area classified as non-vegetation tended to decrease gradually. Conversely, open soil and sparse vegetation experienced a notable decline from 2002 to 2015, followed by a minor decrease in the subsequent period. In contrast, moderate vegetation steadily increased from 2002 to 2025, suggesting a recovery process in the vegetation. To accelerate the environmental and vegetation recovery process, several revegetation strategies, including reclamation, selection of native and pioneer species, and soil improvement techniques, are recommended. The findings of this study suggest that the reduction in mining activity intensity on Manuran Island has contributed positively to ecosystem recovery and that direct interventions are needed to accelerate environmental recovery.

Abstract

Abstract

MSMEs in Kolaka Regency, such as Patowonua weaving and Tolaki Robusta coffee, play a strategic role in the economy and preservation of local wisdom. However, they face challenges of low digital literacy and communication creativity. This study aims to analyze the influence of digital marketing and creativity on consumer interest in order to formulate innovative marketing strategies based on local wisdom. The methods used are a quantitative survey of 75 consumers (analyzed with PLS-SEM) and qualitative interviews with MSME actors and experts. The results prove that digital marketing and creativity have a positive and significant effect on consumer interest. Strategies such as social media and creativity in products have proven effective in expanding market reach and building loyalty. The novelty of this research lies in the integration of a mixed method approach and the development of a strategy model that specifically combines digital marketing technology with creativity based on unique local potential, such as woven motifs and culinary specialties. The implications of this research are as a practical reference for MSME actors to adopt creative digital strategies, as well as a theoretical basis for the development of marketing literature that is contextual with local wisdom. The integration of these two things is the key to increasing the competitiveness of MSMEs.
