Abstract

This research aims to analyse the evaluation for learning development during the Covid-19 Pandemic in Pasangkayu. The dynamics of learning in schools during a pandemic needs to be described so that the right program can be designed. Given the many problems found in the field, it is very important to examine the learning process that occurred during the Covid-19 pandemic in Pasangkayu. The results of the study show that the application that is widely used by teachers in the Pasangkayu is WhatsApp. Most teachers do not use online learning applications. This shows that teachers in the Pasangkayu do not have the skills to use digital applications in learning. However, some teachers have used Google for Education, teacher rooms and learning houses as a means of interacting with students online. The recommendations that can be used as alternative policies are make sure students return to school with communicating with parents and the community, complete proper school infrastructure, place a strong emphasis on learning recovery, restore student learning discipline, supporting the independent curriculum, provide training on the use of learning technology to teachers, development of interests and talents in the form of art, holding competitions between districts/schools such as competitions, expand access to distance learning by expanding internet connections, encourage schools to participate in the driving school program, involve parents in school development, ensure that these low-income students receive additional support, cooperate with the private sector, and conducting a technology skilled installation and literacy movement campaign.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the dimensions of the cognitive process category (C4) about the Electrical material in students. This research is a descriptive-qualitative type of research. The research subjects amounted to 31 students who were then given a test in the form of an essay to determine the respondents as many as 6 people. The data was obtained from the cognitive process dimension test category (C4) about electrical material with thinking-aloud settings. From the results of the research conducted, the results show that the achievement of the cognitive process dimension analysis of students at the level (C4) can be classified as low category, namely 51.09%. Overall, the percentage of the results of the analysis of the dimensions of cognitive processes in the C4 category in class IX students, namely the combined descriptor obtained a value of 66.67%, the descriptor combined coherence of 55%, the descriptor made an outline of 55%, the descriptor chose 50.83%, and deconstructing descriptor is 79.16%.

Abstract

The research aims to produce a comic of physics experiments based on local wisdom. The research uses the development of 4D models, which begins with defining the material, designing the media until it becomes a product. Once it becomes a product it is then validated by material experts and media experts. Comics that have been validated by some experts are then revised by researchers about the advice given by validators. To create this comic, researchers used Photoshop and Coreldraw X7 applications. This experimental comic is designed so that students can conduct simple experiments outside the school independently on temperature and heat material, in addition, this comic features the icon of Palu city along with the story that develops on the icon. The subject of the research trial of the feasibility of this physics experiment comic is the students of class VII junior high school Lab school Palu. The average score obtained is 3.71 with excellent category. The results showed that this experimental comic can be used as a medium of learning.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the interpretation of class XI MIA 1 students at SMA Negeri 3 Palu on numerical graphs on GLB and GLBB material. This study used a qualitative descriptive method which was carried out on students of class XI MIA 1 SMA Negeri 3 Palu. Sampling was done by means of purposive sampling/consideration. The data in this study were collected through observation, written tests in the form of descriptions, and interviews. Data analysis was carried out through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Based on the results of data analysis, there are several difficulties when interpreting graphs, namely: (1) interpreting a combination of several numerical graphs, (2) interpreting numerical graphs by connecting graphs with physical concepts, (3) interpreting the acceleration of objects on a velocity versus time graph, (4) interprets an object that moves backward until it stops but the line graph goes up, (5) determines the motion of an object on a numerical graph of two objects in one numerical graph.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an ICARE-based physics e-module (Introduction, Connecting, Application, Reflection, Extension) that is effective in enhancing students’ problem-solving and communication skills. The research utilized a Research and Development (R&D) approach, following the ADDIE development model. The population and sample consisted of all students from class VIII B at SMPN 4 Tanantovea. Data collection methods included the validation of the e-module by two expert validators, student questionnaires, essay tests administered twice before (pre-test) and after (post-test) the learning process to assess problem-solving skills, and observation sheets used across three sessions to evaluate students’ communication skills. The data were analyzed descriptively using statistical tools. The results indicated that the e-module was rated as highly feasible, with a validation score of 93%. Its effectiveness in improving students’ problem-solving skills was categorized as very high, with a Cohen’s d effect size of 7.126. In terms of communication skills, the average student score after using the ICARE-based physics e-module was 26.45 (47%) in the first session, 32.1 (57%) in the second session, and 44.6 (80%) in the third session. Based on these results, the ICARE-based physics e-module is considered highly suitable for use in classroom learning.
