Abstract

The development of Internet of Things (IoT) technology has had a major impact on various aspects of life, including agriculture and plant care. This research aims to design a solution that can overcome the challenges of irrigating ornamental plants by utilizing soil moisture sensors and IoT technology. The approach used in this study is Hardware Programming. This approach involves leveraging hardware and programming to design and implement an IoT-based automatic watering system for ornamental plants. In its implementation, the NodeMCU ESP8266 acts as the control center, while the soil moisture sensor is used to measure soil moisture levels, the DHT11 sensor is used to measure ambient temperature, and the ultrasonic sensor is used to measure the volume of water in the container. The data obtained from these sensors is integrated with the Blynk application. The test results show that the system is able to provide an accurate and fast response regarding soil moisture conditions, as well as making it easier for users to monitor watering through mobile devices. This research contributes to overcoming plant care challenges by utilizing IoT technology and integration with the Blynk platform. It is hoped that this solution will provide benefits, especially for Tangerang Express Park rangers, so that they can monitor plant conditions in real-time.

Abstract

LPG gas leaks can become a serious threat to human safety and health, especially if they are not detected quickly and accurately in the main control system for this LPG gas leak detection system and even if the worst possibilities occur, such as a spark which could result in a light fire. This research uses the Prototype method. Another goal is to minimize the risk of accidents when using LPG gas stoves, and reduce the risk of damage and material losses arising from gas leaks and fires caused by LPG gas stoves. Design and manufacture of hardware and software by developing the MQ-2 sensor detection algorithm which is used to detect gas leaks and Flame sensors for fire detection. Testing is carried out by simulating various test scenarios from the use of gas sensors and fire sensors. The test results show that this system is capable of detecting detected gas and fire. Tests are carried out alternately between gas sensors and fire sensors. The output on the system is in the form of SMS notifications, Bazzer and LED lights. SMS notification using SIM800L. When a fire is detected there will be an SMS notification "API DETECTED!!!", the bazzer will sound and the red LED will light up. When gas is detected there will be an SMS notification "GAS DETECTED!!!!" and the yellow LED will light up, the maximum limit if gas is detected is 10cm and the maximum limit if fire is detected is 30 cm. In conclusion, the tool is made using the Arduino Nano microcontroller, by making a cable design on the PCB board, after which the soldering process or connecting the modules is carried out.

Abstract

Cultivating catfish is one of the popular fishery farming activities in Indonesia. Catfish is one of the many fish chosen for cultivation because it has a fast growth rate and can live in various air conditions. However, there are several obstacles or loss factors if not addressed quickly, such as if the air level occurs, changes in temperature conditions and also the level of air turbidity which is also not released is always reviewed regularly. This study uses a prototype method that uses system development from pre-existing systems, this writing covers the design and manufacture of hardware and software with the right detection development algorithm. Aims to produce or create a microcontroller-based system that has the ability to detect air level, temperature and air turbidity in ponds with the hope of being able to minimize the risk of losses caused by air conditions in catfish ponds. The system is equipped with an air level detector using an ultrasonic sensor, and is equipped with a DS18B20 sensor which can detect air temperature and a turbidity sensor which is used to detect the level of air turbidity and of course this system is also equipped with a microcontroller to process data from sensors used as input. The output of the air level monitoring system is an LED with red, yellow and green colors, as well as a buzzer as a marker of air level in catfish ponds. The monitoring system for temperature and also turbidity in water pools is a notification system using an I2C LCD that displays readings of sensor values. The monitoring tool has been successfully tested and is expected to be useful for increasing catfish farming results.

Abstract

Motor vehicle theft continues to pose a significant issue, primarily due to the vulnerability of security systems relying on manual keys. Thieves are well-versed in exploiting this weakness, necessitating innovative solutions. This study's objective is to design a tool that employs a GPS tracker and SMS to provide precise location coordinates. Additionally, it aims to deter motor vehicle theft by interrupting the electric current flow in the vehicle. Using the Research and Development (R&D) method based on prior research, the outcome is a system capable of providing location points at extensive distances beyond conventional vehicle boundaries. In summary, this device interacts by sending pre-programmed commands to Arduino Uno, with ON functioning to activate electrical systems, OFF for deactivation, and LOCATION for requesting navigational position messages.

Abstract

CV Vyasti Network, a home internet service provider established in 2022, places the stability of internet connectivity as a top priority in its services. Maximum effort is made in the configuration of devices and systems to ensure a stable level of internet availability. In support of this goal, CV Vyasti Network adopts a design that involves the use of wireless back-up media and mixed routing protocol with NDLC method. The main purpose of this design is to minimize downtime when the main link experiences problems. To achieve this, load balancing is used so that downtime can be minimized when one of the links experiences interference. This method has proven to be very effective, especially in the results of its application on CV Fiber To The Home Vyasti.

Abstract

The purpose of digitization is to make an institution or organization more effective and efficient in various aspects, one of which is attendance. Therefore, this research aims to design a digital attendance system using NodeMCU as the microcontroller and RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) as the sensor to read student ID cards, integrated with a web-based database. Currently, at PPKD (Pusat Pelatihan Kerja Daerah) Jakarta Pusat, the student attendance system still relies on conventional paper-based methods, which are ineffective, inefficient, and prone to errors. In addition to reducing paper usage, the design of this digital attendance system also aims to promote student discipline in attendance. The research employs the Research and Development (R&D) method, which aims to produce a specific product or enhance existing ones. The testing results demonstrate the successful transfer of student data from their ID cards (E-KTP) to the database via RFID sensors and NodeMCU microcontrollers. The system also displays this data on a web interface designed using PHP programming language. Overall, this research contributes to an effective and efficient attendance monitoring process for PIC (Person In Charge) at PPKD Central Jakarta
