This research was carried out using quantitative analytic research with a cross sectional approach by collecting secondary data from medical records. from April 2021 to June 2022 . This research was conducted at TPMB Susi in Dolok Merawan District, Serdang Bedagai Regency in February 2023. The sampling technique used total sampling with a total sample of 42 pregnant women in the first trimester with mild anemia who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Analysis using the Chi Square statistical test shows that the p value is 0.000 (<0.05). So that the hypothesis can be accepted, then there is a "Relationship between Giving Ambon Bananas and Hemoglobin Levels in Pregnant Women with Mild Anemia in the First Trimester. The results of this study indicate that there is a relationship between giving Ambon bananas and hemoglobin levels of pregnant women after being given Ambon bananas. Abstract

Perineal wounds are tears that occur during childbirth, either spontaneously or through assisted delivery. If not properly treated, they can lead to infections. The healing time varies depending on hygiene and the mother's health condition. Perineal wound healing can be facilitated through non-pharmacological treatments, including binahong leaves. The binahong plant has antibacterial, antioxidant, and anti-inflammatory properties, making it potentially effective in accelerating perineal wound healing. This study aims to determine the effect of boiled binahong leaf water on perineal wound healing in postpartum mothers at Susiani, Amd. Keb Independent Midwife Practice Banyuwangi in 2024. The research was conducted at TPMB Susiani, Amd. Keb Banyuwangi, Gang Lombok Perum Villa Asri I Block A-6 Sukowidi, Klatak Village, Kalipuro District, Banyuwangi Regency, from May to June 2024. This study evaluated the effect of boiled binahong leaf water on perineal wound healing using a quasi-experimental design with a posttest-only control group. Of 40 postpartum mothers, 20 received binahong leaf treatment, while 20 did not. The sampling technique used was consecutive sampling. The boiled binahong leaf water was administered for five days, twice daily in the morning and evening. Data analysis was performed using the Wilcoxon test with SPSS. Ethical approval number: 179/01/KEPK-STIKESBWI/V/2024. The results showed that after the intervention, nearly all respondents experienced a reduced wound severity by day 5, with perineal wounds showing signs of healing. The Wilcoxon test yielded an Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.000, indicating a significant effect of this therapy, with 60% of mothers in the intervention group experiencing good wound healing. The data indicate an impact on perineal wound healing in postpartum mothers at Susiani, Amd. Keb Independent Midwife Practice Banyuwangi in 2024. Binahong leaves can serve as a complementary alternative for postpartum mothers with perineal tears.

Abstract

Exclusive breastfeeding is the provision of breast milk for the first 6 months of a baby's life without any additional food. The success of exclusive breastfeeding is influenced by several factors, such as perception, breastmilk fluency, knowledge, and maternal nutritional intake. This study aims to analyze the relationship between age, parity, and education of breastfeeding mothers with breastmilk fluency. The study used a cross-sectional approach with a total sampling technique so that a sample of 30 respondents of breastfeeding mothers aged 0-3 months was obtained. The study was conducted in November-December 2023. The research instrument used a questionnaire about the characteristics of respondents and 9 indicators of breastmilk fluency. The research analysis used chi square and all respondents had signed an informed consent. The results of the study showed that there was a correlation p between age and parity with breastmilk fluency with a p value of 0.026 each, and there was no correlation between education and breastmilk fluency. Based on the results of the study, it is recommended that midwives can provide education during pregnancy regarding several factors that can affect breastmilk fluency so that the coverage of exclusive breastfeeding can increase..Keywords: Factors, Age, education, parity, breastmilk fluency

Abstract

Postpartum depression  represents preventable challenges and has a significant impact on both mother and baby.  Depression affects over ten percent of individuals during the perinatal period. The prevalence of reported cases of postpartum depression statistically appears low, but in reality there are still cases in the community. The cause of the high obstacle is that many midwives have not been able to apply due to lack of knowledge and skills in using EPDS. This study aims to determine the effect of postpartum depression screening training using EPDS on the knowledge and skills of midwives in detecting postpartum depression. Pre-experimental research type and one group pretest posttest design. The population was all midwives at Genteng Hospital as many as 31 midwives with sampling using total sampling.  Analysis of the data was performed using SPSS for Windows (Version 25), employing the Wilcoxon signed-rank test and multiple logistic regression.  The analysis yielded a significant increase in knowledge scores, with a mean difference of 38.71 and skills by 88.533 after training. Multivariate results showed that age, education, nursing field, did not affect knowledge and skills, while length of work did not affect knowledge but affected skills by 14, 107 times. Midwives can be more proactive in screening for postpartum depression using EPDS as an early prevention step, so as to identify the risk of postpartum depression more precisely.
