Abstract

SMA (High School) is the last level of secondary education that students must take before entering higher education. High school is the top level of formal secondary education in Indonesia. From now on, students will continue their higher education to be able to compete in the world of work. In this case, the Team's attention is to provide assistance regarding the introduction of Hospitality and Tourism from the Tourism Study Program because job opportunities in the tourism sector are very large. The method for implementing this activity is survey, mentoring, evaluation and completion. This activity was attended by 50 grade 11 students of SMA N 2 Tulang Bawang Tengah. This mentoring activity has great benefits for students, school principals, educators and education staff. This activity provides new knowledge and insight about hospitality and tourism so that students get great benefits for their future careers.

Abstract

(1) Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) merupakan instansi pendidikan dengan model pembelajaran sesuai capaian kompetensi lulusan yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan di industri dan dunia kerja (IDUKA). SMK mencetak lulusannya untuk dapat bersaing di dunia industri dan dunia kerja selaras dengan kompetensi keahlian yang dipilihnya. Hampir sekitar 90% siswa di SMKN 4 Bandar Lampung berasal dari penduduk di sekitar lokasi sekolah, yakni Bandar Lampung dan sekitarnya. Akan tetapi pada kenyaataannya masih banyak siswa yang ragu-ragu mengambil jurusan Pariwisata karena kurangnya pemahaman siswa terhadap dunia pariwisata. Hal lain yang menjadi perhatian tim kami yakni kurangnya pengetahuan para siswa terhadap dunia Tourism Marketing dan juga kemampuan pengelolaan SDM. (2) Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan yaitu melalui survey, pendampingan, evaluasi dan selesai. Kegiatan ini dihadiri oleh para siswa kelas 11 jurusan Pariwisata yang berjumlah 35 orang. (3) Kegiatan pendampingan ini dirasakan sangat besar manfaatnya oleh siswa, kepala sekolah berikut jajaran stafnya dan para guru. Kegiatan ini banyak memberikan pengetahuan baru bagi para siswa tentang bagaimana Tourism e-marketing pada dunia pariwisata yang sesungguhnya.

Abstract

Tourism is one of the influential factors in the economy of a country. Indonesia is one of the destination countries for tourists, both foreign tourists and domestic tourists. Tourism can also have a big impact on the surrounding area, for example in terms of job opportunities. The quality of skilled human resources in the tourism sector is very much needed in advancing the tourism sector. Tourism is also closely related to hospitality, because the tourism sector is related to the service sector. In this community service activity carried out at Bumi Mandiri Jaya Agrotourism which is located at Wonodadi, Gading Rejo District, Pringsewu Regency, Lampung, training will be provided on hospitality, handling tourist complaints and tourism marketing with the hope of increasing skilled human resources in the field tourism, quantity and quality of the surrounding community as well as advancing the community's economy in Bumi Mandiri Jaya Agrotourism so that it becomes sustainable tourism in Pringsewu Regency. This activity has great benefits for the owners, managers and human resources at Bumi Mandiri Jaya Agrotourism.

Abstract

Tourism is one of the leading industries proliferating in the world today. This increase has the potential to reduce the unemployment rate. The purpose of this research is to create a SWOT analysis to determine the strengths and weaknesses of the Tourism Study Program as well as take advantage of marketing opportunities and overcome threats to the Higher Education business environment. Identify the dominant factors that make students interested in enrolling in the Tourism Study Program. Combining the results of SWOT analysis and factor analysis to develop a holistic marketing strategy for the Tourism Study Program. The method in this research uses the EFAS (External Factors Analysis Summary) and IFAS (Internal Factors Analysis Summary) matrices. The test tool in this research is the Cochran Q Test. The results of data processing can conclude that 5 attributes form factors of prospective students' interest in the Tourism Study Program. Namely, Ease of getting a job, Learn Digital Tourism Applications, In line with tourism developments, Deepening tourism knowledge, and Combination of gastronomy, management, and technology. Based on the results of this factor analysis, the Marketing Bureau at IIB Darmajaya can design a marketing campaign that focuses on the 5 attributes that have been identified. Apart from that, the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats of the Tourism Study Program have also been identified while maintaining the quality of the curriculum, human resources, and infrastructure in line with current developments.
