Abstract

Improving Student Reading Loud and Reading Comprehension Skills Using Picture Card Media at SMP Bina Insan Mandiri Bogor. The aim of this study was to improve beginning reading skills using picture cards for 7th-grade students at SMP Bina Insan Mandiri Bogor. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (PTK) which is conducted in two cycles. The research design uses the Kemmis Mc model. Teggart with the subjects in this study were grade 7th with a total of 35 students. Techniques for collecting data used 1) oral reading tests and written reading comprehension tests, 2) observation, and 3) documentation. The data analysis technique uses descriptive statistical analysis, namely by finding the average. Indicators of student success must be achieved with a class average of 70 and a completeness of 80%. The results of the study show that learning about early reading using picture cards in English subjects can improve the reading skills of grade 7th at SMP Bina Insan Mandiri Bogor. 2. Pre-cycle reading ability was 65 and 54% completeness, in cycle 1 there was an increase to 68 and 66% completeness, in cycle II 74.14 with 88% completeness. In this study, the reading ability of class 7th SMP Bina Insan Mandiri Bogor with pronunciation, intonation, and reading comprehension increased until they reached the minimum mastery criteria (KKM) that had been set, namely 70 and 80% completeness in class. In cycle 1 use picture cards with a size of 13x6cm and with attractive colours. In cycle II use a bigger card, size 18x6 to facilitate learning for students in understanding reading.

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini berfokus pada penyuluhan mengenai sistem informasi yang dirancang untuk merekap presentasi dan perkembangan tahfidz santri di SMP Bina Insan Mandiri, yang dibangun menggunakan framework CodeIgniter 3. Kegiatan ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kebutuhan akan sistem yang efisien dalam mengelola dan menyajikan data mengenai kemajuan santri dalam hafalan Al-Qur'an, mengingat selama ini pencatatan dan pelaporan perkembangan santri masih dilakukan secara manual, yang rentan terhadap kesalahan dan memakan waktu. Dalam program ini, tim pelaksana melakukan serangkaian kegiatan, termasuk analisis kebutuhan, pengembangan aplikasi, pelatihan kepada guru dan pengelola santri tentang cara menggunakan sistem informasi yang telah dibuat, serta sosialisasi kepada orang tua santri mengenai manfaat penggunaan sistem ini.

Abstract

This study aims to design and develop a web-based inventory information system using the Reorder Point (ROP) method at PT. Rajawali Bahan Bangunan. By employing the Research and Development (R&D) research method and the Waterfall system development method, the system is designed to facilitate stock management, monitor minimum inventory levels, and support decision-making in reordering items. The system is built as a website to improve accessibility, featuring automatic reorder point calculations to optimize inventory management. The results of this study indicate that the designed system is effective in enhancing efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness in inventory management at PT. Rajawali Bahan Bangunan.

Abstract

Technological developments in recent decades have changed the way people interact and socialize, including in Indonesia. The younger generation, especially millennials and Gen Z, tend to seek out gathering places such as cafes that offer comfort, modern facilities, and an aesthetic atmosphere. One cafe that follows this trend is Kafe Kebon Djati in Ciomas, Bogor. However, as the number of visitors increases, this cafe faces the problem of long queues that impact customer satisfaction and employee performance. This study aims to determine the ordering and payment methods at Kafe Kebon Djati, develop a web-based ordering management application using PHP 7 and Bootstrap 3, and assess the application's effectiveness in addressing queue problems. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D), with the steps of designing, developing, and testing the ordering application. The results of this study are expected to provide an effective solution to speed up the service process, reduce ordering errors, and increase customer satisfaction. By implementing a web-based ordering system, Kafe Kebon Djati can manage high visitor volumes more efficiently, especially during peak hours.
