Abstract

The objective of this research was to improve students’ reading comprehension and their learning activities by using the Cloze Strategy. In this research, the writer used Classroom Action Research as the design of the research. This research was implemented in two cycles. The sample of this research was 30 students. To get the data, the writers used observation sheet and a reading test. The test used in this research was a closed-end question, which consisted of 25 questions. The test was aimed at getting the score of the students’ reading comprehension; meanwhile, an observation sheet was used to find out the students’ learning activities. The result of the test showed that there was an improvement of the students’ reading abilities and learning activities. It was found that the students’ reading ability in cycle 1 was 57.07 while in cycle 2 was 80.53, and it was found that the score of the students’ learning activities in cycle 1 was 6.19 while in the cycle 2 was 7.85. Therefore, the implementation of the Cloze Strategy was successful to be used in improving the students’ reading comprehension and the students’ learning activities.

Abstract

Menopause merupakan salah satu fase dari kehidupan normal seorang wanita. Pada masa menopause kapasitas reproduksi wanita berhenti. Ovarium tidak lagi berfungsi, sejumlah perubahan fisiologik terjadi. Yang disebabkan juga oleh proses penuaan. Menopause adalah jika wanita tidak lagi menstruasi selama satu tahun dan umumnya terjadi pada usia 50-an tahun. Lebih kurang 70% wanita peri pascamenopouse mengalami keluhan vasomotorik, depresi, keluhan psikis, dan somatik lainnya.Perubahan-perubahan yang terjadi saat menjelang masa menopause ini sangat berpengaruh terhadap kondisi psikis yang dialami oleh seorang wanita dalam fungsinya sebagai seorang istri. Yang dapat menimbulkan kecemasan dalam pengaruh suami istri, kecemasan ini timbul karena perubahan fisik yang dialaminya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menjelaskan pengaruh pendidikan kesehatan terhadap pengetahuan dan kesemasan pada menopause diwilayah kerja praktik mandiri dokter. Desain penelitian ini adalah Quasy-eksperiment(eksperimen semu) dalam satu kelompok perlakuan (One Group Pre-Posttest design). Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah menopause yang berkunjung ke tempat praktik mandiri dokter pada bulan mei-juni dengan rata-rata kunjungan setiap bulan 40 orang. Sampel penelitian ini seanyak 37 responden menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Variabel independen dalam penelitian ini adalah pendidikan kesehatan dan variabel dependennya adalah pengetahuan dan kecemasan. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan kuesioner. Uji statistik menggunakan uji wilcoxon dengan signifikan α 0,05. Hasil penelitian menunjukan pengetahuan pada menopause sebelum diberikan pendidikan kesehatan memiliki nilai mean 9,24 dan setelah diberikan pendidikan kesehatan memiliki nilai mean 11,16 , sedangkan pada tingkat kecemasan sebelum diberikan pendidikan kesehatan memiliki nilai mean 32,40 dan setelah diberikan pendidikan kesehatan memiliki nilai mean 18,86. Hal ini menunjukkan ada pengaruh dibuktikan dengan hasil uji statistik wilcoxon dimana p=0,000. Kesimpulan ada pengaruh pendidikan kesehatan terhadap pengetahuan dan kecemasan pada menopause diwilayah kerja praktik mandiri dokter. AbstractMenopause is a phase of a woman's normal life. During menopause, a woman's reproductive capacity ceases. The ovaries no longer function, and a number of physiological changes occur, also caused by the aging process. Menopause occurs when a woman no longer menstruates for one year and generally occurs in her 50s. Approximately 70% of peri-postmenopausal women experience vasomotor complaints, depression, psychological complaints, and other somatic symptoms. These changes that occur as menopause approaches significantly affect a woman's psychological condition in her role as a wife. This can cause anxiety in the marital relationship, which arises from the physical changes they experience. The purpose of this study was to explain the effect of health education on knowledge and anxiety about menopause in the work area of a doctor's private practice. The design of this study was a quasi-experimental study with one treatment group (One Group Pre-Post test design). The population in this study were menopausal women who visited a doctor's private practice in May-June, with an average of 40 visits per month. This study sampled 37 respondents using a purposive sampling technique. The independent variable in this study was health education, and the dependent variables were knowledge and anxiety. Data collection was conducted using a questionnaire. Statistical testing used the Wilcoxon test with a significance level of α 0.05.The results showed that knowledge of menopause before health education had a mean score of 9.24 and after health education a mean score of 11.16. Meanwhile, anxiety levels before health education had a mean score of 32.40 and after health education a mean score of 18.86. This indicates an effect, as evidenced by the Wilcoxon statistical test, with p=0.000. Conclusion: Health education has an effect on knowledge and anxiety about menopause in the work area of independent physician practice.

Abstract

Abstract The problem phenomenon that exists among mothers of toddlers in Panduman Village, Jelbuk sub-district is that many mothers are found who do not really pay attention to how they feed their children, they tend to give their children simple food without paying attention to the nutritional value of the food. The aim of this community service is to identify maternal parenting patterns in feeding toddlers, identify stunting incidents in toddlers, and analyze the relationship between maternal parenting patterns in feeding toddlers and stunting incidents in toddlers. This activity is carried out by providing counseling using a questionnaire sheet to mothers who have stunted toddlers and measuring their height with a microtoise. Mothers who have stunted toddlers are very enthusiastic and active in receiving materials and taking part in activities to understand how to feed toddlers properly and correctly. Keywords: toddlers, mother's parenting style, stunting Abstrak Fenomena masalah yang ada pada ibu balita di Desa panduman kecamatan jelbuk yaitu banyak dijumpai ibu yang tidak terlalu memperhatikan cara memberikan makan pada anaknya, mereka cenderung memberikan makanan pada anaknya secara sederhana tanpa memperhatikan nilai gizi pada makanan. Tujuan pengabdian Masyarakat ini untuk Mengidentifikasi pola asuh ibu dalam pemberian makan pada balita, Mengidentifikasi kejadian stunting pada balita, dan Menganalisis hubungan pola asuh ibu dalam pemberian makan dengan kejadian stunting pada balita. Kegiatan ini dilakukan dengan memberikan penyuluhan menggunakan lembar kuesioner pada ibu yang memiliki balita stunting dan melakukan pengukuran tinggi badan dengan microtoise. Ibu yang memiliki balita stunting sangat antusias dan aktif dalam menerima materi dan mengikuti kegiatan untuk memahami cara pemberian makan terhadap balita dengan baik dan benar.
