Abstract

This research aims to explore the contribution of women traders in increasing household economic income in Saumlaki, South Tanimbar Sub-district. Saumlaki, as part of the Tanimbar Islands, faces complex economic challenges, especially among households. Women traders in this region have an important role in creating economic opportunities and overcoming economic difficulties in their neighborhoods. This research aims to understand the extent to which women traders contribute to increasing household economic income. This involves analyzing their role in creating employment, increasing access to economic resources, and influencing the economic development of the community. This research used a qualitative approach with in-depth interviews and observation as data collection methods. Data was analyzed through a process of coding and emerging themes to understand the impact of women traders on the household economy. The results showed that women traders have a significant role in increasing household economic income in Saumlaki. They are able to create economic opportunities, expand networks, and make a meaningful contribution to the economic development of the community. This research confirms that women traders have an important role in increasing household economic income in Saumlaki, South Tanimbar Sub-district. In this context, supporting efforts that strengthen their role in local economic development could be a relevant and strategic step in fighting poverty and improving household welfare in this region.

Abstract

Program Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) ini bertujuan untuk memperkenalkan aplikasi manajemen waktu berbasis metode Kanban, Eisenhower, dan 4D kepada staf administrasi di PT. Tatou Maritim, sebuah perusahaan pelabuhan di Saumlaki, Kepulauan Tanimbar. Program ini bertujuan untuk mengatasi tantangan dalam pengelolaan tugas dan produktivitas di lingkungan operasional yang kompleks. Metode Kanban memfasilitasi visualisasi tugas, memungkinkan prioritas yang lebih baik dan pengelolaan alur tugas. Matriks Eisenhower membantu pengambilan keputusan dengan mengategorikan tugas berdasarkan tingkat urgensi dan kepentingannya, sementara metode 4D (Do, Defer, Delegate, Drop) membantu dalam delegasi dan eliminasi tugas. Implementasi metode-metode ini melalui aplikasi terpadu secara signifikan meningkatkan produktivitas dan efisiensi di kalangan staf administrasi. Program ini juga mendorong pemberdayaan ekonomi lokal dengan meningkatkan efisiensi proses bisnis. Rekomendasi ke depan mencakup pelatihan manajemen waktu untuk karyawan baru dan pembaruan aplikasi agar sesuai dengan kebutuhan bisnis yang terus berkembang. Program ini diharapkan dapat diperluas ke industri serupa dan mendukung pengembangan masyarakat secara lebih luas

Abstract

Tanimbar Archipelago Regency is one of under-developed region and has the highest rank of poor people in Mollucas Province. Poverty reduction is not just the responsibility of the government, but it is also the responsibility of the church to empower the members of the congregation. One of the potential that exist in congregation is skill in making the woven fabric of Tanimbar and its modification products that can be developed for improve the welfare of congregation and society. This research aimed to discover the dynamic of the woven fabric business of the weaver women who are members of Mollucas Protestant Church in South Tanimbar Classist and how the empowering program that been done by the Church to empowered those weaver women. The method that has been used in this research was descriptive qualitative research. The data collection techniques of this research were observation, interview, and documentation. The result of this research revealed that the weaver women had developed their creations by making the woven fabric of Tanimbar into many products. And those products have attracted customers even to foreign countries. The Mollucas Protesntant Church has empowered the weaver woman by giving the workshop and fund giving. However, the empowering program has not given maximum impact. They are still facing a lot of struggles and obstacles in expanding their business. So, this research recommended that the Mollucas Protestant Church in South Tanimbar Classist should improve the empowering program in porivision of capital and entreprenuership workshop for the weaver woman.
