Abstract

Tanimbar Islands Regency, as one of the archipelagic regions in Indonesia, has rich economic potential. However, this potential has not been fully explored and utilized. The study of potential sector analysis in this district is important because it can provide a more in-depth view of economic opportunities that can be developed, contribute to local economic growth, and improve community welfare. This study aims to analyze potential sectors in Tanimbar Islands Regency. The main objective is to identify economic sectors that have potential for further development. In addition, this research also aims to understand the factors that influence economic potential in this district, as well as provide a baseline of information that can be used for future economic development planning. The research method involves collecting secondary data, such as economic statistical data, agricultural data, fisheries data, and other relevant data sources. Data analysis was conducted using statistical tools and economic data analysis techniques. In addition, the research also involved field surveys and interviews with local stakeholders to gain a deeper insight into potential sectors. The results of this study identified several potential sectors in Tanimbar Islands Regency, including agriculture, fisheries, tourism and human resource development. In addition, factors such as accessibility, infrastructure and capitalization also play an important role in the development of these sectors. With the right efforts, these sectors have the potential to contribute significantly to economic growth and improved welfare of the local community. The potential sector analysis study in Tanimbar Islands Regency highlights the economic opportunities that can be optimized to support the development of this area. By understanding the factors that influence economic potential, authorities can direct resources and development efforts more efficiently. By developing these potential sectors, it is expected to create employment opportunities, increase community income, and stimulate sustainable economic growth in Tanimbar Islands Regency.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the contribution of women traders in increasing household economic income in Saumlaki, South Tanimbar Sub-district. Saumlaki, as part of the Tanimbar Islands, faces complex economic challenges, especially among households. Women traders in this region have an important role in creating economic opportunities and overcoming economic difficulties in their neighborhoods. This research aims to understand the extent to which women traders contribute to increasing household economic income. This involves analyzing their role in creating employment, increasing access to economic resources, and influencing the economic development of the community. This research used a qualitative approach with in-depth interviews and observation as data collection methods. Data was analyzed through a process of coding and emerging themes to understand the impact of women traders on the household economy. The results showed that women traders have a significant role in increasing household economic income in Saumlaki. They are able to create economic opportunities, expand networks, and make a meaningful contribution to the economic development of the community. This research confirms that women traders have an important role in increasing household economic income in Saumlaki, South Tanimbar Sub-district. In this context, supporting efforts that strengthen their role in local economic development could be a relevant and strategic step in fighting poverty and improving household welfare in this region.

Abstract

Research on the topic of ethnomathematics is starting to be conducted frequently. Moreover, research that links aspects of mathematics lessons with cultural aspects. This research is motivated by ethnographic and cultural aspects. This research aims to 1) To find out the Geometric aspects contained in the Irarat Melan mama boat of Ritabel Village, North Tanimbar District, Tanimbar Islands Regency, and 2) To find out the symbolic meaning contained in the mama Irarat Melan boat of Ritabel Village, North Tanimbar District, Tanimbar Islands Regency. This research uses qualitative methods with ethnographic design. This research shows that based on the results of research and discussion that has been carried out on the research of Geometric Aspects on Irarat Melan Boat (mama) Ritabel Village, North Tanimbar District, Tanimbar Islands Regency, it can be found that the elements of mathematics contained in the Irarat melan boat culture (mama) there are aspects of geometry such as lines, angles and patterns Some flat planes found on mama boats include; trapezoids, triangles, rectangles, rhombuses, circles. These mathematical aspects can be seen from the mama boat building.

Abstract

The agricultural sector plays an important role in the economic growth of a region. The Tanimbar Islands Regency has the potential to contribute to the agricultural sector. This research aims to analyze the contribution of the agricultural sector to the PDRD of the Tanimbar Islands Regency which includes the development of the GDP growth rate, the role of the agricultural sector in regional economic development of the Tanimbar Islands Regency, problems and agricultural development systems in the Tanimbar Islands Regency. In this research, generally the data used is secondary data, namely ready-to-use data that has been processed by other parties, in the form of reports/documents obtained from related agencies, so the data source in this writing is the Department of Agriculture and Fisheries. Maritime Affairs and BPS KKT. The analytical method is useful for determining the contribution of the agricultural sector to the KKT GRDP in 2015-2020. The analytical method used is a descriptive method with a contribution approach. The results of this research show that the GDP growth rate of the Tanimbar Islands Regency for the 2016-2020 period, both based on Current Prices and Constant Prices, always experiences very good upward fluctuations (2016-2019), but this is different in 2020, experiencing slow economic growth, namely above The applicable price base is 1.05%. Meanwhile, based on constant prices, the rate of economic growth experienced stagnation, namely - 0.02%. This happened due to a non-natural global phenomenon, namely the Covid'19 (Corona Virus) Pandemic. The contribution of the Agricultural sector to the GRDP of the Tanimbar Islands Regency for the period 2016 - 2020 averaged above 20%, this shows that the Agricultural sector is one of the sectors with quite large potential to have dominant value (added) for the formation of income (GRDP) in the Tanimbar Islands Regency.

Abstract

Desa Manglusi adalah salah satu desa terpencil di Kabupaten Kepulauan Tanimbar, Provinsi Maluku dan memiliki hasil alam begitu banyak, baik didaratan maupun lautan. Secara tidak langsung, masyarakat desa manglusi telah melakukan beragam aktifitas yang berkaitan dengan matematika. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan budaya masyarakat Desa Manglusi yang berkaitan dengan matematika serta mendeskripsikan hasil eksplorasi etnomatematika pada aktivitas membilang. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian eksploratif dengan pendekatan etnografi. Data dikumpulkan dengan berpedoman pada pedoman observasi dan wawancara. Subyek penelitian adalah 10 orang yang merupakan pembeli dan 5 orang sebagai penjual. Dalam penelitian ini analisis data yang dilakukan menggunakan analisis deskriptif. Data yang dianalisis pada penelitian adalah hasil wawancara yang dilakukan oleh peneliti terhadap subjek penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa masyarakat Desa Manglusi secara sadar maupun tidak sadar telah melakukan aktivitas matematika, khususnya pada materi operasi hitung bentuk aljabar dalam kegiatan jual beli yang dilakukan melalui aktivitas membilang dan menghitung yang meliputi penjumlahan, pengurangan, perkalian, dan pembagian.

Abstract

Hasil belajar yang rendah dapat disebabkan oleh berbagai masalah yang sering muncul dalam kegiatan pembelajaran di kelas. Rendahnya pencapaian belajar pada mata pelajaran matematika terlihat dari hasil belajar yang berada di bawah KKM, yakni ≤70%, atau dari 14 siswa yang belum mencapai standar kelulusan. Metode pembelajaran yang digunakan oleh guru hanya berupa metode konvensional (ceramah), yang turut berkontribusi terhadap rendahnya pencapaian belajar siswa. Permasalahan yang diangkat dalam penelitian ini adalah: Apa saja faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi pencapaian belajar siswa? Apakah penggunaan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah (Problem Based Learning) dapat meningkatkan pencapaian belajar siswa? Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi hasil belajar siswa dan untuk mengetahui apakah penggunaan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah dapat meningkatkan pencapaian belajar siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada tes akhir, 7 siswa berada dalam kategori tingkat pencapaian tinggi dengan persentase 50%, 4 siswa berada pada kategori pencapaian sedang dengan persentase 28,57%, dan 3 siswa berada dalam kategori pencapaian rendah dengan persentase 21,43%. Selain itu, penggunaan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah (PBL) mendorong siswa untuk aktif selama proses pembelajaran, memungkinkan mereka mengumpulkan informasi secara mandiri terkait masalah yang dihadapi, serta menyimpulkan dan menyampaikan hasil kerja mereka dengan percaya diri. Dengan demikian, siswa memperoleh pembelajaran yang lebih mudah dipahami dan menemukan hal-hal baru karena keterlibatan langsung mereka dalam proses pembelajaran. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas VIII di SMP St. Andreas Lauran pada materi sistem persamaan linear dua variabel.

Abstract

The people of Watmuri village have diverse cultural backgrounds, one of which is the sopi oath culture (Rbui Tuk). The oath of sopi is obligatory for everyone who, and when in marriage the spouses do according to what is sworn, then in their domestic life they must get married even though they are not married or some are married. The purpose of the study of cultural values in the Sopi Oath (Rbui Tuk) here is to describe the cultural values in the Sopi Oath (Rbui Tuk) in traditional marriages of the Watmuri village community, Nirunmas District, Tanimbar Islands Regency as follows. (1) Cultural valuesin human relations as individuals have the value of togetherness in making decisions and the value of loyalty, (2) Cultural values in relations with society, (3) Cultural values in human relations with God have the value of uniting humans with God.
