Abstract

Recently, stunting has been hotly discussed by many people, especially mothers. According to WHO, stunting is a child's growth and development disorder caused by a lack of nutritional intake, infection, or inadequate stimulation. The number of stunting sufferers in Indonesia according to the 2018 Riskesdas results continues to decline. Community service activities for UNISKA MAB Banjarmasin students with the theme "Care to Prevent Stunting in Children in the City of Palangka Raya" were carriedout on Monday 13 November 2023 and were attended by thousands of listeners streaming via the RRI Digital Pro2 Palangka Raya program. With registration via Google form 44 people, but when the streaming starts2,314 listeners were present in the RRI Digital comments column when the event took place. The activity was carried out through several stages, namely: distributing activity pamphlets/flayers on social media and going through the Google form registration stage and when the event took place with the opening stage from the Head of the UNIKSA MAB Banjarmasin Communication Science Masters Study Program , and continued with material presentations by 4 UNISKA MAB Banjarmasin

Abstract

Floods are disasters that often occur in Indonesia. Disasters caused by hydrometeorological factors always increase every year. Even though sometimes it doesn't cause many casualties, this disaster still damages infrastructure and significantly disrupts the economic stability of the community. The characteristics of floods are very diverse, floods can be caused by high rainfall without adequate soil absorption or can occur in the form of flash irrigation failures. South Kalimantan is a city known as the "City of a Thousand Rivers", which of course cannot be separated from flooding situations every rainy season. One of them is quite common in urban areas, especially the city of Banjarbaru. The dense population and the presence of rivers sometimes cause flooding, especially if the intensity of rainfall lasts long enough. Likewise, what often happens in the Kemuning Banjarbaru sub-district, floods that often come suddenly have become a normal activity for local residents. Without hesitation, there were even (9) RTs that were affected by the flash flood. Even though they are used to facing floods, especially when the rainy season arrives, residents are still advised to always be alert.

Abstract

The community service activity "The Role of Schools in Preventing, Eradicating Abuse and Illicit Drug Trafficking" was carried out on Thursday 16 November 2023, which was attended by 35 students representing class 10 and class 12 of the Vocational High School (SMK) Technology Education Foundation (YPT) Banjarmasin. The activity was carried out in several stages, namely: an opening led by an emcee from the school, remarks from the Deputy Head of SMK YPT Banjarmasin for Student Affairs, Sahri, as well as remarks from the Lecturer in Communication Perspectives and Theory at the Uniska Banjarmasin Communication Science Masters Study Program, Dr. Marhaeni Fajar Kurniawati, M.Si. Then the peak event was the socialization of the delivery of material entitled The Role of Schools in Preventing, Eradicating Abuse and Illicit Drug Trafficking which was delivered by the Chief Executive of Community Service, Rakhmadiansyah, then a question and answer or quiz, and the distribution of prizes for students who actively asked questions. This service activity is a form of concern for the Uniska Banjarmasin Communication Science Masters Study Program to provide understanding and education to YPT Banjarmasin Vocational School students about the dangers and impacts of drug abuse as well as the role that the school must take in creating a school free from drug abuse (Shining School).
