AbstrakPT XYZ merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang Farmasi. Untuk menjaga produktivitas kerjakaryawan PT XYZ sendiri memiliki standar waktu setup pergantian batch selama 45 menit. Namun padaaktualnya terdapat beberapa line dan mesin yang melebihi waktu standar. Tujuan yang ingin dicapai pada penelitian ini adalah untuk meminimasi waktu setup guna mencapai standar yang ada. Metode yangdigunakan adalah pendekatan Lean Manufacturing yaitu metode Single minute Exchanges of Dies dandilakukan juga balancing kinerja operator agar minimasi waktu dapat lebih maksimal. Data padapenelitian ini dilakukan dengan cara observasi secara langssung dan wawancara kepada operator padaLine 12 dan Staff PT XYZ. Hasil pengolahan data didapatkan penurunan waktu setup pergantian batchsebanyak 39,4 menit yaitu yang semulanya 74,1 menit menjadi 34,7 menit.Kata kunci: SMED; lean manufacturing; minimasi waktu setup; diagram fishbone Abstract[REDUCE LINE 12 SETUP TIME USING THE SINGLE MINUTE EXCHANGE OF DIES (SMED)METHOD AT PT XYZ] PT XYZ is a company engaged in the pharmaceutical sector. To maintain employeework productivity, PT XYZ itself has a standard batch change setup time, maximum time is 45 minutes. Butin fact there are several lines that exceed the standard time. The aim of this research is to minimize setuptime so as not to exceed the standard. The method used is lean manufacturing approach, namely Singleminute Exchanges of Dies method. Operator performance is also balanced so that time minimization canbe maximized. The data in this study were conducted by interviews addressed to operators on Line 12 andPT XYZ staff. Apart from that, observations were also made on Line 12. The results of data processingshowed that the batch change setup time decreased by 39.4 minutes, from 74.1 minutes to 34.7 minutes.Keywords: SMED; lean manufacturing; minimization of setup time; fishbone diagram
