Abstract

Berdasarkan data yangpenulis peroleh, PT. Kata kunci: kualitas; benang EC 30 W; FTA; FMEAAbstract [Quality Control Analysis To Reduce The Amount Of Waste (Not Good) In Ec 30 W Yarn Products Using TheFault Tree Analysis (FTA) Method And Failure Mode And Effect Analysis (FMEA) At PT. Unitex] PT. Unitexis a manufacturing company operating in the textile industry. Based on the data obtained by the author, PT.Unitex has problems related to the quality of production output for EC 30 W Yarn. In January 2022 – December2022 there were product defects of 4,249 cheeses (5.5%) of the total production. The types of defects found werewrinkles, weight, dirty, konban, and striped. Improvements need to be made to optimize quality and minimizedefects in EC 30 W Yarn products. FTA (Fault Tree Analysis) and FMEA (Failure Mode and Effect Analysis) arethe methods used in this research. The results of the FTA (Fault Tree Analysis) diagram show that the root causesof the problems of defect weight, wrinkles, dirty, and konban are influenced by several factors, namely humans, machines, materials, methods, and the environment. Proposed improvements are made based on the highest RPN(Risk Priority Number) from the results of the FMEA (Failure Mode and Effect Analysis) analysis, where thedefect weight is to reset the twist on the ring spinning machine every time a production batch is changed to matchthe number of yarn to be produced, wrinkles defect is carrying out inspections and repairs on bobbin coils andtensors on winding machines, dirty defects are carrying out routine maintenance on production machines, andkonban defects are carrying out inspections and repairs on slippers which will be processed on drawing machines. Keywords: quality; EC 30 W yarn; FTA; FME

Abstract

The effect of the Wordwall platform in enhancing students' reading comprehension was examined in this study, focusing on eighth-grade students at a private Islamic Junior High school in Jambi. A quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design was employed, involving two groups: an experimental group and a control group, each consisting of 29 students selected through cluster random sampling. Data were obtained through pre-tests and post-tests using short essay questions focused on recount texts. A notable effect in reading performance was observed in the experimental group, which mean score increased from 55.86 to 76.03. Meanwhile, the control group demonstrated a smaller increase, from 57.59 to 69.14. The data met the assumptions of normality and homogeneity, and a statistically significant difference was identified through a post-test t-test (t = 3.699, p = 0.01), indicating that the alternative hypothesis could be accepted. These results suggest that the integration of Wordwall into reading comprehension contributes positively to students’ learning outcomes. Moreover, its interactive features were found to enhance student engagement, indicating that digital tools such as Wordwall can be effectively utilized to support reading comprehension, particularly in junior high school contexts.
