AbstrakPT. Sharp Semiconductor Indonesia merupakan salah satu perusahaan manufaktur multinasional yangbergerak di bidang industri elektronik. PT. Sharp Semicondcutor Indonesia memproduksi beberapa jenisproduk seperti laser, optoelectronic, dan LED (Light Emitting Diode). Seiring dengan meningkatnyapermintaan produk, perusahaan mengalami kesulitan dalam melakuakan produksi untuk memenuhipermintaan tersebut, dan beberapa kali terjadi dapat mencapai demand produksi. Permasalahan ini terjaditerutama pada produk single laser. Lini produksi single laser memiliki tata letak fasilitas yang belumoptimal, hal ini dapat dilihat pada letak stasiun kerja yang belum sesuai dengan aliran proses produksinya.Hal ini menyebabkan terjadinya persilangan antar letak stasiun kerjanya yang menyebabkan perpindahanmaterial menjadi lebih jauh. Metode yang dapat diterapkan dalam melakukan perbaikan tata letak fasilitaspada lini produksi single laser adalah dengan menggunakan metode systematic layout planning dansoftware BLOCPLAN. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat diperoleh bahwa layout rekomendasi yangdihasilkan dapat memperpendek jarak perpindahan material antar stasiun kerja sehingga proses produksisingle laser menjadi lebih efektif dan efisien.Kata kunci: perancangan tata letak; perpindahan material; BLOCPLAN; systematic layout planning Abstract[DESIGN OF FACILITY LAYOUT ON A SINGLE LASER PRODUCTION LINE USINGSYSTEMATIC LAYOUT PLANNING METHOD AT PT. Along with the increasing demand for products, thecompany experienced difficulties in carrying out production to meet the demand, and several times ithappened that it was unable to achieve production demand. This problem occurs especially in single laserproducts. The single laser production line has a facility layout that is not optimal, this can be seen in thelocation of the work station that is not in accordance with the flow of the production process. This causes across between the location of the work station which causes the material to move further. The method thatcan be applied to improve the facility layout on a single laser production line is to use the systematic layoutplanning method and BLOCPLAN software. Based on the results of the research, it can be concluded thatthe layout of the recommendations produced can shorten the distance of material transfer between workstations so that the single laser production process becomes more effective and efficient.Keywords: layout design; material transfer; BLOCPLAN; systematic layout planning
