<![CDATA[Abstrak Pada era industri sekarang, sering terdapat permasalahan terkait tanaga kerja, seperti rendahnya utilitastenaga kerja . Oleh karena itu diperlukan cara optimalisasi penggunaan tenaga kerja. PT Tirta Investama merupakan perusahaan manufaktur yang memproduksi air mineral kemasan di Klaten, JawaTengah.Utilitas tenaga kerja PT Tirta Investama area Direct Loading dan Unloading tidak sesuai standarperusahaan Hal tersebut diakibatkan oleh tingkat absensi para pekerja yang kurang disiplin dan parapekerja yang kurang produktif. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengukur beban kerja serta menentukanjumlah tenaga kerja berdasarkan beban kerja sebagai upaya peningkatan utilitas tenaga kerja. Untukpenentuan jumlah tenaga kerja digunakan metode WLA dan WFA. Metode WLA dapat menentukan jumlahtenaga kerja berdasarkan beban kerja, sedangkan WFA dapat menentukan jumlah tenaga kerjaberdasarkan tingkat absensi dan perputaran tenaga kerja (LTO). Sebagai hasil pengolahan datadidapatkan bahwa beban kerja yang ada di Direct Loading overload jika hanya dilakukan oleh 1 orangtenaga kerja saja, sedangkan Direct Unloading masih di dalam kategori underload jika dilakukan oleh 1orang di setiap lininya. Oleh karena itu, jumlah tenaga kerja yang diperlukan adalah 6 orang untuk arealoading dan 3 orang untuk unloading. Sehingga akan dilakukan pengurangan tenaga kerja sebanyak 3orang pada area direct loading dan 3 orang pada area unloading.Kata kunci: Penentuan Jumlah Tenaga Kerja Optimal, WLA, WFA Abstract In the current industrial era, there are often problems related to labor, such as low labor utility. This research was conducted tomeasure workload and determine the number of workers based on workload as an effort to increase laborutility. As a result of data processing, it is found that the workloadin Direct Loading is overloaded if it is only carried out by 1 person in the workforce, while Direct Unloadingis still in the underload category if it is carried out by 1 person in each line.
