Abstract

As good Muslims, we certainly know that morals towards parents are very important. Because parents are the ones who introduce us to this world from childhood to adulthood. And every parent definitely has hopes for their child to be successful, dutiful to their parents, and become a better, more god-fearing child. The Al-Quran is a guide for human life in various fields and life situations experienced by each individual, including teaching the importance of doing good to both parents. One of the verses relating to doing good to both parents is found in the Al-Quran, Surah al-Ahqaf, verse 17. These verses explain the prohibitions and consequences for someone's happiness as a result of disobeying both parents, especially disobeying the mother, because of a mother's position. considered superior to a father. The purpose of this writing or research is to provide insight for parents and children about how to play an active role in building noble character based on the Koran and hadith. The method used in this research is a descriptive qualitative approach, using bibliographic/reference studies related to the interpretation of the Al-Quran regarding verses about being good to parents. The results of this research show that the role and attention of parents has a big influence in shaping and molding children into human beings with noble character whose actions and thoughts are in line with Islamic teachings.

Abstract

The concept of gharar in Islamic jurisprudence refers to uncertainty and speculation in transactions, which is prohibited due to its potential to cause loss and injustice. This study aims to examine the definitions, forms, and implications of gharar in modern economic transactions. Using a qualitative method with a literature review approach, data were collected from fiqh texts, books, and scholarly articlesThe findings indicate that gharar can be categorized into minor gharar, which may be tolerated, and major gharar, which is prohibited. Transactions such as conventional insurance and futures trading often involve gharar, but contemporary scholars provide boundaries to distinguish permissible uncertainty from prohibited uncertainty. Therefore, principles of openness, transparency, and clear agreements should be applied to avoid gharar in transactions.

Abstract

This article is an interpretive study of the Istikharah prayer taught by the Prophet Muhammad SAW as mentioned in several hadith histories. Through the content analysis method, the author tries to examine the meaning of prayer using descriptive analysis methods. From this analysis, information was obtained that there must be a change in understanding of the concept of Istikharah which is often understood as a form of "asking" Allah what the best option is. The change in question – which does not evaluate current understanding – is to understand that Istikharah is the process of activating tawakal. It contains istikhār, istiqdār and istifdāl. Istikhār is a request to choose the best based on Allah's knowledge, starting from the awareness that He is All-Knowing while we do not know. Istiqdār is a request for the best destiny based on Allah's power, because He is Almighty while we are helpless. Istifdāl is a request for great grace. The next process is taukil al-amr (presentation of work) to Allah. If it is good, then it is delicious, easy to do and a blessing. If it's bad, turn away, look towards something better and be happy with His fate. This understanding will lead us to the conclusion that the best attitude of Istikharah is hūsn al-zānn (good prejudice) towards God and satisfaction with His destiny.
