Abstract

Independent learning and independent campus (Merdeka Belajar-Kampus Merdeka or MBKM) is a policy of Ministry of Education and Culture (Kemdikbud) which established in early 2020. This program creates challenges for education in Indonesia as teachers and lecturers are required to use technology as a media in teaching. The present study aims to investigate the students’ view toward an application of technology in learning English of management students. The participants of this study were freshman university students majoring in Management, Faculty of Economics, Universitas Sulawesi Barat. A survey questionnaire related the students’ view towards the application of technology in learning English was assigned to the students. Furthermore, an interview was conducted to get depth information. The results of this study showed that the students viewed that using technology in learning English is necessary as it motivated the students in learning English.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to identify and analyze the simultaneous and partial effects of labor discipline and work motivation on employee job performance at PT. Bumi Surya Selaras Kecamatan Luyo Kabupaten Polewali Mandar. This research approach is a quantitative approach, the purpose of this study is a descriptive study, this type of research is a survey. The site where this study was conducted at PT. Bumi Surya Selaras. The population in this study was all full-time employees at PT. Bumi Surya Selaras totaling 50 people. The saturation sample was used to determine the sample for this study in order to obtain a representative sample of the population. Data analysis was performed using multiple linear regression. This is shown through the results of analysis, work discipline and work motivation have a significant influence on employee performance at PT. Bumi Surya Selaras.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menginterpretasikan peran nilai-nilai budaya pappasang Mandar dalam pengelolaan keuangan daerah Pemerintah Provinsi Sulawesi Barat. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan etnografi klasik yang terdiri dari 5 tahap analisis data yaitu analisis domain, pola-pola hubungan semantik, analisis taksonomi, dan analisis kompensial, serta analisis tema budaya. Penelitian ini dilakukan di kantor Badan Pengelola Keuangan dan Pendapatan Daerah Provinsi Sulawesi Barat dan Aliansi Masyarakat Adat Nusantara Kabupaten Majene. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dalam pengelolaan keuangan daerah, Pemerintah Provinsi Sulawesi Barat telah menerapkan nilai-nilai pappasang Mandar pada setiap prinsip pengelolaan keuangan daerah yang terdiri dari akuntabilitas, value for money, Kejujuran, transparansi, dan pengendalian.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the influence of rumpon-based Green Human Resource Management (GHRM) practices on fishermen’s quality of life in Majene Regency, emphasizing the mediating and moderating role of digital literacy within the framework of sustainable development. A quantitative approach was applied using a survey of 395 fishermen, analyzed through the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method.The findings reveal that: (1) Rumpon-based GHRM significantly and positively affects fishermen’s quality of life and marine ecosystem sustainability; (2) Digital literacy has a positive impact on fishermen’s well-being; (3) Digital literacy mediates the relationship between GHRM and quality of life; and (4) Digital literacy strengthens the link between GHRM practices and marine ecosystem sustainability. These results highlight that integrating environmentally conscious HRM practices with digital literacy grounded in local wisdom provides an effective pathway for improving fishermen’s welfare while ensuring the conservation of coastal ecosystems
