Abstract

This study aims to determine the new moon's position towards Mount Agung in mapping at the beginning of the Lunar Month at the Loang Baloq  Beach Rukyat location. Loang Baloq Beach has been a routine location for the new moon sightings carried out by the Mataram BMKG team since 2013. However, The hilal is rarely reported to be visible at Loang Baloq Beach. The presence of Mount Agung hinders the condition of the new moon. Based on the study's results, it can be determined that the condition of Loang Baloq Beach does not meet the ideal assessment criteria. This is because the west is not clear at Azimuth 294o46'36.40". Then the west horizon of the Loang Baloq beach is blocked by the presence of Mount Agung in the Karangasem district of the island of Bali. In addition, the existence of Mount Agung causes the western horizon of the Loang Baloq coast always to be unclean or always cloudy, even though the local weather conditions are hot/sunny, Although Loang Baloq Beach does not meet the ideal criteria as a place for the sighting of the new moon. However, this location has enough potential for the sighting of the new moon compared to other locations in Mataram. Even if the new moon's position from Loang Baloq is right on Mount Agung, the new moon cannot be seen, but if it is to the left and right of Mount Agung, it is still possible to see the new moon. It is also possible to see the exact position of the new moon on Mount Agung if the height of the new moon is above Mount Agung. The mapping of the new moon position is carried out in the months of Muharram, Safar, Rabiul Awal, Rabiul Akhir, Jumadil Awal, Jumadil Akhir, Rajab, Shaban, Ramadhan, Shawwal, with the results of the appearance of the new moon being to the left of Mount Agung. In contrast, the month of Dzulqoidah, Dzulhijjah with the appearance of the new moon is right with Mount Agung. When the hilal position is right at Mount Agung, the observer shifts to another location, Tanjung Mina, North Lombok Regency.

Abstract

Sejak Kurikulum MBKM diberlakukan di UIN Mataram pada Tahun 2022, evaluasi penerapan program tersebut belum pernah dilakukan. Penelitian ini bertujuan menyelidiki dan menganalisis kesiapan dosen, mahasiswa, dan mitra terhadap implementasi program MBKM di prodi Ilmu Falak UIN Mataram. Penelitian ini merupakan kombinasi penelitian kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan metode survei dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dosen Prodi Ilmu Falak memberikan respon positif untuk menerapkan MBKM. Kondisi ini selaras dengan respon para mitra prodi yakni selalu siap untuk mendukung penerapan MBKM. Namun, hasil survei mahasiswa menunjukkan respon yang sebaliknya. Sebagian besar mahasiswa tidak mengetahui adanya kebijakan MBKM. Selain itu, mahasiswa masih ragu akan mendapatkan peningkatan kompetensi dari pembelajaran di program studi lain.  Faktor lain yang dikhawatirkan mahasiswa adalah biaya yang harus dikeluarkan apabila  melakukan pembelajaran di tempat yang cukup jauh dari lingkungan kampus asal. Mengingat bahwa kesuksesan penerapan MBKM harus didukung oleh kesiapan ketiga unsur utama pelaksananya, yaitu dosen, mahasiswa, dan mitra, maka prodi Ilmu Falak UIN Mataram dinilai masih perlu merancang strategi dan upaya lanjut untuk mempersiapkan mahasiswanya, baik dari aspek pemahaman tentang program MBKM, sarana, serta prasarananya

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya penggunaan LMS di Fakultas Syariah UIN Mataram. Tujuan dilakukan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengelaborasi kondisi penerapan LMS di Fakultas Syariah UIN Mataram serta mempelajari faktor pendukung dan faktor penghambat yang dirasakan oleh para dosen dalam pemanfaatannya. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif. Data penelitian dikumpulkan menggunakan kuesioner dan dokumentasi. Sementara, proses pengolahan dan analisis data menggunakan metode statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor pendukung tertinggi diperoleh dari indikator perspektif dosen terkait penggunaan Moodle LMS dengan nilai mean seluruh item > 3.0 yaitu 3.61. Sementara, faktor penghambat tertinggi berasal dari mahasiswa yang tidak aktif menggunakan LMS (3.71), dukungan teknis yang kurang memadai (3.57), dan dosen yang tidak memiliki pengalaman menggunakan LMS (3.21). Dengan demikian, disimpulkan bahwa belum maksimalnya penerapan LMS di Fakultas Syariah UIN Mataram disebabkan oleh dua faktor utama yaitu, rendahnya motivasi mahasiswa dan minimnya kemampuan dosen dalam penggunaan LMS meskipun mereka memiliki motivasi dan perspektif yang positif terhadap penerapan LMS untuk mendukung proses pengajaran dan pembelajaran.

Abstract

This study aims to design, evaluate, test, and assess a prototype Internet of Things (IoT)-based building management system for air conditioning (AC) control in a campus building. The research background stems from the need for a system that can manage temperature more effectively, aligning with the demands of sustainability in energy management. The methodology employed in this study involves the development of a system using an ESP32 microcontroller, integrated with an Infrared (IR) transmitter and an LDR sensor. Testing was conducted to evaluate the performance of the IR transmitter in detecting signals at various distances (1 to 5 meters) and directions (straight, left, and right), as well as to measure the accuracy of the LDR sensor at a distance of 2 meters. The test results revealed that the IR transmitter achieved optimal detection performance at a distance of 1 meter, with significant degradation at greater distances. Conversely, the LDR sensor demonstrated 100% accuracy at a distance of 2 meters. The study concludes that the IoT-based AC control system designed not only enhances temperature management efficiency but also improves user comfort, with the potential for broader application in building management systems in the future.
