Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji tentang penerapan metode Task-Based Activity (TBA) untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara mahasiswa PGSD dalam mata kuliah bahasa Indonesia yang berbasis konservasi nilai-nilai karakter (kesantunan berbahasa dan kearifan lokal), di jurusan PGSD, FIP, UNNES. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah (1) untuk meningkatkan keterampilan mahasiswa PGSD dalam berbicara bahasa Indonesia dengan menerapkan task-based activity berbasis konservasi nilai-nilai karakter, dan (2) untuk mendeskripsikan respon mahasiswa PGSD dalam perkuliahan “berbicara” bahasa Indonesia dengan diterapkannya task-based activity berbasis konservasi nilai-nilai karakter. Penelitian ini merupakan pengkajian empirik yang dapat digolongkan ke jenis penelitian tindakan kelas (classroom action research) yang bersifat deskriptif kualitatif. Subyek penelitiannya yaitu dosen dan mahasiswa PGSD semester 3 rombel 1 (B) yang berjumlah 42 orang. Berdasarkan skor hasil tes mahasiswa, terlihat adanya suatu peningkatan yang bagus dari fase identifikasi masalah sampai pada siklus 2. Fase identifikasi masalah, nilai rerata mahasiswa secara klasikal adalah 4,5 yang berada pada kategori kurang. Dari nilai ini, hanya 6 (23%) orang yang mendapatkan skor lebih besar daripada atau sama dengan 6, sedangkan sisanya (77%) mendapatkan skor kurang daripada 5. Ssiklus 1 rerata keterampilan berbicara mahasiswa PGSD UNNES adalah 6,92; dari nilai tersebut diketahui bahwa ke-26 mahasiswa (100%) mahasiswa mendapatkan skor sama dengan atau lebih besar dari 6. Siklus 3 skor rerata keterampilan berbicara mahasiswa meningkat menjadi adalah 7,54. Berdasarkan nilai tersebut diketahui bahwa 100% siswa mendapatkan skor sama dengan atau lebih besar dari 6

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan peningkatan keterampilan guru, aktivitas siswa, danketerampilan menulis pengumuman pada kelas IV C SDN Petompon 02 Semarang dengan menerapkan modelpembelajaran NHT dengan media surat kabar. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang terdiri dari 3siklus dengan tahapan perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian adalah guru dansiswa kelas IV C SDN Petompon 02 Semarang berjumlah 41 siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1)keterampilan guru mengalami peningkatan, pada siklus I memperoleh skor 27 kategori baik, siklus II memperolehskor 30 kategori baik, siklus III memperoleh skor 35 kategori sangat baik, (2) aktivitas siswa mengalamipeningkatan, pada siklus I memperoleh rata-rata skor 22,9 kategori baik, siklus II memperoleh rata-rata skor 25,07kategori baik, siklus III memperoleh rata-rata skor 28,62 kategori baik (3) persentase ketuntasan klasikal jugamengalami peningkatan, pada siklus I sebesar 52,5% kualifikasi tidak tuntas, siklus II sebesar 75,6% kualifikasituntas, pada siklus III sebesar 89,5% kualifikasi tuntas. Simpulan dari penelitian ini adalah melalui modelkooperatif tipe NHT dengan media surat kabar dapat meningkatkan keterampilan guru, aktivitas siswa danketerampilan menulis pengumuman pada siswa kelas IV C SDN Petompon 02Semarang The background of the study was based on the pre-observation conducted at the fourth C grade of SDN Petompon02 Semarang. The teacher did not use learning innovation so that the students were not motivated to take part inthe class activity. The students learning outcomes were mostly under the minimum passing grade criteria.Therefore, the study on the use of NHT model with newspaper was conducted. This study aimed to improveteacher’s skill, students’ activity, and students’ learning outcomes in writing announcement skill learning at thefourth C grade of SDN Petompon 02 Semarang. The design of the study was classroom action research in threecycles with the stages of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The subjects of the study were teacher and41 students of the foruth C grade of SDN Petompon 02 Semarang. The results of study showed: 1) teacher’s skillin the first cycle obtained the score of 27 (good), in the second cycle obtained the score of 30 (good), and in thethird cycle obtained the score of 35 (very good), 2) the students’ activity in the first cycle gained the average scoreof 22.9 with a good category, in the second cycle gained the average score of 25.07 with a good category, and inthe third cycle gained the average score of 28.62 with a very good category, 3) The percentages of students’ learningoutcoomes in the first cycle obtained classical achievement of 52,5% with a not passed qualification, in the secondcycle obtained 75,6 % with a passed qualification, and in the third cycle obtained 89.5 % with a passed qualification.The study concluded that the use of cooperative learning NHT model with newspaper could improve teacher’sskill, students’ activity, and announcement writing skill of the fourth C grade students of SDN Petompon 02Semarang.

Abstract

Hasil refleksi menunjukkan bahwa siswa kesulitan menemukan diksi sesuai tema jika hanya mengandalkan pengetahuan dan pemahaman, maka dari itu siswa membutuhkan pengalaman yang nyata agar mereka menemukan rasa dari puisi yang ditulisnya. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menulis puisi bebas pada siswa kelas V melalui model Kontekstual-Inquiri dengan media lagu. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian tindakan kelas yang berlangsung dalam tiga siklus meliputi tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan analisis deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) keterampilan guru pada siklus I mendapat skor 20, pada siklus II mendapat skor 28, meningkat pada siklus III menjadi 33; (2) aktivitas siswa pada siklus I mendapat rata-rata skor 14,97, pada siklus II mendapat rata-rata skor 15,21, meningkat menjadi 16,41 pada siklus III; (3) keterampilan menulis puisi bebas pada siklus I mengalami ketuntasan klasikal sebesar 28,20%, siklus II dengan ketuntasan klasikal sebesar 48,72%, dan mengalami peningkatan pada siklus III menjadi 82,05%. Simpulan dari penelitian ini adalah melalui model Kontekstual-Inquiri dengan media lagu dapat meningkatkan keterampilan guru, aktivitas siswa, dan keterampilan menulis puisi bebas. Result of the reflection shows that students had difficulty finding appropriate diction theme if they only relied on knowledge and understanding, therefore students needed real experience so they can find the sense of poetry. The research aimed to improve free poetry writing skill of fifth grade students through contextual-inquiry model using song. The research was designed using classroom action research in three cycles included the planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The data was collected using test, observation, interview, and documentation. Data were analyzed using quantitative and qualitative analysis. The results of the research showed: (1) the teacher skill in the first cycle scored 20, in second cycle scored 28. It improved in the third cycle to 35 ; (2) the average score of students activity in the first cycle was 14,97, in second cycle was 15,21. It improved in the third cycle to 16,41; (3) the classical completeness of free poetry writing skill in the first cycle was 28,20%, in second cycle was 48,72%, It improved in the third cycle to 82,05%. The conclusion of the research was contextual-inquiry model using song improved teacher skill, students activity, and free poetry writing skill.

Abstract

The low student learning outcomes in Indonesian are caused by a lack of media or a mismatch in the learning models used by teachers in learning. This research aims to develop Pop-Up Book learning media with a Problem-Based Learning (PBL) learning model to improve Indonesian language learning outcomes for fourth-grade elementary school students. This type of research is developed using the Borg & Gall development model. The research subjects were 25 students. The experts who are the subject of this research are media experts and material experts. The methods used to collect data are observation, interviews, questionnaires, documentation, and tests. This research instrument is in the form of a questionnaire and test questions. Data analysis techniques use data normality tests (Kolmogorov Smirnov), paired t-tests, and N-gain tests. The research results showed that after going through the product validation stage by material experts, a score of 90.9% was obtained. According to media experts obtained a score of 85.4% in the very feasible category. The effectiveness of the media was tested by calculating the results of the initial and final tests using the paired t-test. It was found that there were differences in the average learning outcomes before and after applying the Pop-Up Book learning media with the PBL model. It was concluded that the Pop-Up Book was effective and suitable for learning and improved students' ability to understand the material of finding fictional story characters in Indonesian subjects. The implication of this research is that the Pop-Up Book developed can be used in Indonesian language learning.

Abstract

Learning media plays a crucial role in enhancing the quality of education by serving as a tool for teachers to deliver material effectively. This study aims to develop Linktree-based learning media for Indonesian language instruction to improve students’ understanding of identifying the main idea in narrative texts for grade V at MI Guppi Jatimalang. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) methodology, following the Borg and Gall development model. Data were collected through interviews, observations, documentation, and questionnaires distributed to teachers and students to assess their needs. Data analysis included feasibility and effectiveness testing of the learning media. The feasibility test results, based on expert validation, indicated scores of 89.2% from material experts and 88.4% from media experts, both categorized as “very feasible.” The effectiveness test, measured using N-Gain analysis, showed a result of 0.6076, placing it in the medium category. These findings suggest that the Linktree-based learning media is effective in supporting learning and enhancing students’ ability to identify the main idea in narrative texts. Its use is also expected to foster students’ motivation and critical thinking skills.

Abstract

This study aims to develop Smart Apps Creator (SAC)-based learning media to improve the narrative writing skills of grade IV students at Elementary School 1 Kertek. This research is motivated by the students' limited ability to write their narratives, which is caused by the lack of interactive and engaging learning media in the Indonesian learning process. The research employed the Research and Development (R&D) method, utilizing the ADDIE model, with 26 grade IV students serving as development subjects and 10 grade V students as evaluators. The results of the study showed that the learning media developed achieved a very good level of feasibility, with validation rates of 93% among material experts, 94% among media experts, and 100% among practitioners for practicality. Effectiveness tests, using both pre-tests and post-tests, showed a significant improvement in students' narrative writing skills, with an average N-Gain of 0.88. These findings demonstrate that SAC media is effective in enhancing narrative writing skills and can create a more interactive, engaging, and suitable learning environment tailored to the needs and characteristics of elementary school students.

Abstract

There are still many students who do not like reading activities. This is because monotonous activities have an impact on students who feel bored reading. This study aims to develop and test the effectiveness of digital comics in improving learning outcomes in understanding narrative texts for fourth-grade elementary school students. The research method used is research and development (R&D) with the Borg & Gall model. The subjects of the study consisted of 34 students, with small and large-scale trials. Data collection methods through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and tests in the form of pretests and posttests. The data collection instrument used a questionnaire sheet. The techniques used to analyze the data were qualitative descriptive analysis, quantitative analysis, and inferential statistics. The results of expert validation showed that this media was very feasible to use, with a score of 89.6% from material experts and 92.5% from media experts. Data analysis was carried out using the Shapiro-Wilk normality test, paired t-test to see the difference between pretest and posttest, and the N-Gain test, which showed an increase in student understanding in the high category with a score of 0.8271. It was concluded that digital comics have proven effective in improving student understanding through attractive visual presentation and a systematic storyline. Therefore, this media is recommended as an alternative for innovative technology-based learning to improve literacy and student learning outcomes in understanding narrative texts.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis keefektifan model Problem Based Learning (PBL) dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar keterampilan menulis teks eksplanasi pada siswa kelas 6 SDN 1 Tanggulangin. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) dengan pendekatan kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari dua kelas, yaitu kelas 6A yang menerapkan model PBL dan kelas 6B yang menggunakan metode pembelajaran konvensional. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, tes, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model PBL mampu meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa secara signifikan. Pada kelas 6A, persentase ketuntasan meningkat dari 72,7% menjadi 95,5%, sedangkan kelas 6B yang tidak menerapkan model PBL hanya mengalami kenaikan dari 76,2% menjadi 81%. Selain itu, terjadi peningkatan pada nilai rata-rata, nilai minimal, dan nilai maksimal pada kelas yang menggunakan model PBL. Kendala yang ditemukan dalam penerapan PBL meliputi kesulitan dalam apersepsi, kurangnya pemahaman peran dalam kelompok, ketimpangan kerja sama, dan rendahnya kepercayaan diri dalam presentasi. Solusi yang diberikan adalah dengan memberikan stimulus yang menarik, membimbing kerja sama kelompok, serta memberikan apresiasi kepada siswa yang aktif. Dengan demikian, model Problem Based Learning terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa, khususnya dalam keterampilan menulis teks eksplanasi.    This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model in improving students' learning outcomes in writing explanatory texts among sixth-grade students at SDN 1 Tanggulangin. The research method employed was classroom action research (CAR) with both quantitative and qualitative approaches. The research subjects consisted of two classes: Class 6A, which implemented the PBL model, and Class 6B, which utilized conventional teaching methods. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, tests, and documentation. The findings indicate that the implementation of the PBL model significantly improved students' learning outcomes. In Class 6A, the percentage of students achieving mastery increased from 72.7% to 95.5%, whereas in Class 6B, which did not implement the PBL model, the increase was only from 76.2% to 81%. Additionally, there was an improvement in the average score, minimum score, and maximum score in the class that applied the PBL model. Challenges encountered in implementing PBL included difficulties in introductory activities, a lack of understanding of group roles, disparities in teamwork, and low self-confidence in presentations. The proposed solutions involved providing engaging stimuli, guiding group collaboration, and offering recognition to active students. Thus, the Problem-Based Learning model has been proven effective in enhancing students' learning outcomes, particularly in developing explanatory text writing skills.

Abstract

The literacy skills of primary school students in Indonesia remain at a low level, highlighting the need for more innovative and participatory strategies in Bahasa Indonesia instruction. One promising instructional model is Collaborative Learning, which emphasizes social interaction and cooperation among students to build shared understanding. This study aims to quantitatively analyze the effectiveness of the Collaborative Learning model in Bahasa Indonesia instruction through a meta-analytical method. A total of seven quantitative studies meeting the inclusion criteria were analyzed using a random-effects model approach. The analysis yielded an average effect size of g = 1.20, categorized as very large, with a high level of heterogeneity (I² = 83.6%). These findings indicate that the Collaborative Learning model consistently has a positive impact on student learning outcomes and language skills, particularly in writing, speaking, and reading comprehension. Furthermore, publication bias analysis revealed no indications of selective reporting of significant results, reinforcing the validity of the findings. The study concludes that Collaborative Learning is an effective approach to enhancing foundational literacy among primary school students. Its implication is that this model should be widely integrated into Bahasa Indonesia instruction to support literacy development and the optimal implementation of the Kurikulum Merdeka.
