Abstract

Abstract

The selling price of rice is highly dependent on market conditions and seasons. During the main harvest, the price of rice tends to fall due to abundant supply, while at certain times the price can soar due to limited availability. In addition, high production costs are also a problem. The increase in the price of agricultural inputs such as fertilizers, medicines, and labor costs, increases the burden of production that must be borne by farmers. The purpose of this study was to measure the effect of production costs and selling prices of rice on farmers' income. Data collection through questionnaires and documentation. The sample used in this study was 85 respondents, with the community in farmers in Margodadi Village, Tumijajar District, West Tulang Bawang Regency. The data analysis techniques used were instrument testing, multiple linear analysis, and hypothesis testing. The results of this study indicate that production costs do not have a significant effect on the level of farmer income in Margodadi Village, selling prices have a significant effect on farmer income in Margodadi Village and production costs and selling prices simultaneously affect farmer income in Margodadi Village.

Abstract

Low Islamic financial literacy and weak household financial management remain critical challenges among women members of Majlis Taklim, despite their strategic role in family financial decision making. This community service aims to develop and implement a community-based model of Islamic financial literacy integrated with Sufism values to strengthen sakinah family economic resilience. Using a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, the program engaged women from Majlis Taklim in Tasikmalaya through baseline assessment, participatory training, mentoring, and evaluation. The intervention integrated practical financial skills with internalized Sufism values as behavioral change mechanisms. The results show a significant increase in Islamic financial literacy, budgeting practices, financial record-keeping, emergency savings awareness, and the use of Islamic financial products, accompanied by improved financial attitudes characterized by self-control and orientation toward barakah. This program demonstrates that Majlis Taklim can function as an effective institutional platform for sustainable and replicable Islamic financial literacy empowerment at the community level.

Abstract

Background: Parkinsons Disease (PD) is a progressive neurodegenerative disorder characterized by the loss of dopaminergic neurons in the substantia nigra, resulting in motor and non-motor impairments. Early diagnosis remains challenging due to subtle initial symptoms and the relatively low accuracy of clinical assessment during early disease stages. Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) provides high-resolution anatomical visualization and has the potential to detect early morphological changes. Advances in deep learning offer opportunities for automated PD detection through MRI analysis. This study aims to develop a PD detection model using the VGG architecture and evaluate its performance on MRI images. Methods: This study employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach to construct a deep learning–based PD detection model. The dataset consisted of 2,000 brain MRI images (1,000 PD and 1,000 healthy controls) obtained from the open-source Kaggle platform. Preprocessing included image normalization and resizing to 256×256 pixels. The dataset was divided into 80% training data and 20% testing data. The model was developed using the VGG architecture and trained for 15 epochs with a batch size of 16. Model performance was evaluated using accuracy, precision, sensitivity, and specificity metrics. Results: The VGG model demonstrated excellent classification performance on the test dataset. Evaluation results showed an accuracy of 0.99, precision of 0.99, sensitivity of 0.98, and specificity of 0.99. The confusion matrix indicated that the model correctly classified 198 healthy control images and 196 PD images, with minimal misclassification. Visualization of MRI comparisons showed that the model was able to detect morphological changes in the substantia nigra, including loss of the normal curvature of the crus cerebri, as an early indicator of PD. Conclusions: The VGG-based PD detection model achieved very high performance in distinguishing PD from healthy controls using MRI images. These findings highlight the potential of deep learning as a tool for early PD detection. However, the use of Kaggle data as the primary dataset represents a limitation due to unverified acquisition standards and clinical quality. Therefore, further validation using multicenter clinical datasets is required to ensure the model’s generalizability to broader patient populations.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of online training on the recommendation intention of port employees in Indonesia. The research employed a quantitative approach using a survey method. The population consisted of 181 employees who had participated in online training programs, and saturated sampling was applied, involving the entire population as respondents. Data were collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire (1–5) and analyzed using SPSS version 29. The analysis included validity and reliability tests, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression, t-test, and F-test. The results indicate that perceptions of training components simultaneously have a significant effect on recommendation intention (F-test, p < 0.05). However, the coefficient of determination (R² = 0.131) shows that these variables explain only 13.1% of the variance in recommendation intention. Partially, perceived trainer quality has a significant positive effect, while perceived benefits show a significant negative effect. Perceptions of training materials and facilities do not significantly influence recommendation intention. These findings highlight the crucial role of trainer competence in shaping employees’ willingness to recommend online training programs. The study suggests that training providers should focus on improving trainer quality and managing participants’ expectations regarding training benefits. Future research is recommended to incorporate additional variables such as satisfaction, loyalty, and organizational support to develop a more comprehensive predictive model.
