Abstract

This research aims to observe the implementation process of the Teacher Professional Program, specifically during the Practicum Experience in Schools (Program Praktik Lapangan or PPL), from the perspectives of the Mentor Teachers and the Student Teachers. The focus is on examining both groups' experiences and perceptions regarding the program's effectiveness and impact on teacher preparation and professional development. A qualitative research approach was applied, involving in-depth interviews with Mentor Teachers and Student Teachers and direct observation of the PPL process. The findings show that student teachers have developed competency in using various learning strategies while considering the learners' conditions and the learning objectives. They conducted a diagnostic test to assess the learning characteristics of their students and focused on developing several learning objectives, including critical thinking, science literacy, and communication skills. The student participants utilized various relevant information technologies, such as Physicslab, PhET Simulation, Octave, Canva, and Google Docs. The supervising teacher supported student teachers in managing the classroom from planning to evaluation, which is essential in providing a positive learning experience for student teachers and promoting their professional development. The observations showed that the students were comfortable with the student teachers and performed satisfactorily, which made the student teachers feel comfortable during their teaching practice. The support system from the supervising teacher is crucial in ensuring the effectiveness and impact of the program on teacher preparation and professional development.

Abstract

Interest in learning is crucial in the learning process. With an interest in learning, it will also be able to affect their academic abilities, and this will be one of the supporters of the success of the learning process. Judging from the importance of the function of interest in learning, the purpose of this research is to develop electronic learning media to increase students' interest in learning. The object of this research, is the students of class X MIPA 2 and X MIPA 4 SMA 1 Kalasan with a total of 70 people. This research is development research with ADDIE design. The data collection method in this study used a questionnaire method with a Likert scale. Based on the analysis, the questionnaire obtained by X MIPA 2 is 84.5% and X MIPA 4 is 86.5%. Based on this data, the questionnaire can be said to be valid, so it is feasible to use it to increase student interest in learning. Keywords: interest in learning; electronic learning

Abstract

Learning motivation is crucial in the learning process. The motivation to learn will also be able to affect their academic abilities, and this will be one of the supporters of the success of the learning process. Judging from the importance of the function of learning motivation, the purpose of this study is to measure the level of learning motivation through self-assessment instruments with the aim of knowing how high learning motivation is in learning physics. The object of this research was the students of class X SMA 1 Kalasan, with a total of 60 respondents. This research is development research with a 4D design, namely define (definition), design (planning), develop (development, and disseminate). The data collection method in this study uses a questionnaire method with a Likert scale. Based on the results of the analysis, the self-assessment instrument has validity and is quite good with numbers above 0.330. And the reliability is quite high with the number 0.492. Based on this data, the self-assessment instrument can be said to be valid and reliable, so it is feasible to use it to measure the learning motivation of students. Keywords: Instruments; Self-assessment; Learning motivation
