Abstract

Color is one important component in the printing process. Colors on digital displays have different formats when it comes to printing. This research aims to design an alternative in using an application, and the approach employed in this study makes advantage of the Adobe RGB color standard for testing. The programming language used is Python, which has supporting libraries for designing such applications. The results of the research are images consisting of each color component, C, M, Y, K. This study's conclusion is that the Python programming language can support the creation of this color conversion application and it is easy to design due to sufficient support in application development.

Abstract

Kitosan merupakan suatu produk yang dihasilkan dari kulit serangga, udang, kepiting, dan lobster memiliki sifat antimikrobakterial, baik dalam menangkal jenis bakteri dan mikroorganisme. Kertas merupakan sebuah produk yang berasal dari pulp sebagai bahan bakunya, terbuat dari selulosa yang terdapat pada kayu yang diolah melalui proses pengilingan, pemasakan, dan bahan tambahan lain. Salah satu sumber selulosa yang cukup tinggi, sekitar 69,6%-71,5% adalah daun nanas. Penelitian ini membuat kertas dari daun nanas dengan penambahan variasi kitosan 0%, 0,25%, 0,5%, 0,75%. Dengan tujuan, memanfaatkan limbah daun nanas dan kitosan untuk membuat kertas yang mudah terurai di dalam tanah. Hasil dari pengujian biodegradable terhadap kertas ini mendapatkan nilai optimal pada konsetrasi kitosan 0,5% yaitu pengurangan berat sebanyak 5% dari berat awal.

Abstract

The printing industry plays a vital role in supporting various sectors such as commerce, education, and entertainment. The quality of printed products is a key factor in attracting customers and maintaining business competitiveness. PT Grafilin Desa Putera is a printing company that produces a variety of printed materials, with calendars being one of the most in-demand products recently. This study aims to identify failure modes in the calendar printing process and analyze their root causes to reduce defects. The method used is Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA), which evaluates risks based on the Risk Priority Number (RPN). The results show that the total RPN value across identified failure modes reached 910, with the highest individual RPN of 252 attributed to the issue of blanket smashing or blanket rupture. These findings serve as a foundation for developing corrective strategies to improve the quality and efficiency of the production process at PT Grafilin Desa Putera.
